Blackthorne

Thursday, 17th November 1442 "Your Majesty...! We need your command skill shot right now...!" the lieutenant from one of the AAV screamed out in panic as they realised that their top-tiered skill doesn't even match the expert one that I had used against it. Fortunately, we do not have to sight the last lava monster that was lumbering after the AAV in slow motion but I could simply issue the bow attack command skill instead. "ARCHING SHOT" "FROST BURN ARROW" "GO FOR THEIR EYES" "STACK" "Go get them, boys...!" I hollered out into the transmitting Sigil and moments later I heard screams of joy as the archers had successfully exterminated the last of the lava monsters. Even the hellhounds that emerged from every step of the kava monsters made on the ground were not spared as they too were bombarded by the concussive explosive arrowheads. I don't have to apprehend those guys from the AAV because they are facing the enemies on the ground and the enemies could even perform a pincer attack on them anytime... The AAV was exposed and it is not fully covered like a tank but merely as a means of tens sport that had been converted into some sort of fighting vehicle. Nevertheless, it was effective as I had issued a command and the ones in the ground are my eyes...! Whoops of joys could be heard throughout the listening Sigil as the archers celebrated their victory. But it was just the beginning since we would need to bring the Priest and Priestess down to the ground where they would turn the whole earth inside out...! "Captain, we can proceed with our clean up process. Archers, ready the Charlie Echo and blast the forest below one at a time for 5 successions." I have the instructions as the captain nodded his head and disengaged the steering wheel of the airship and headed right over Hellsgate. Once we were hovering about 50 feet above the ground, the archers unleashed their concussive explosive arrowheads one at a time below to clear the area before the aircrewmen were to rappel down the rope and secure the airship. The forested ground within Hellsgate was blasted. All the logging cabin houses were levelled and virtually artificial or man-made was left standing...! 120 successive explosions underneath the airship exploded leaving the area with countless kinds of mushroom clouds as the trees around Hellsgate were virtually destroyed as the molten lava pools were buried when the ground nearby was blasted. There wasn't any sign of hellhounds it even any living things nearby Hellsgate before an aircrewman rappeled down and secured the airship. Since the airship was above a canopy of trees, the roll-up ladder was being used for the Priest and Priestess to descend to the ground. I followed suit but using the rappelling rope instead. I had seen Marcel did it several times when he used it to rappel down the 3rd platform if the Granary to the ground and I applied the procedures, with one foot over the other after I had flipped the rope and used it as a brake. Fortunately, I had the gloves in and this prevented me fro getting the rope burns as I descended the hemp rope like a pro. The moment I reached the ground I readied my bow and arrow and looked around at the devastation that we had just made. By then the Priest and Priestess were just at the halfway mark of the roll-up ladder as they eyed the rest of the archers following me in the same manner. We secured the area and find that there were virtually no traces of life. There wasn't even a bird nor a hare lying dead in the area as Hellsgate had become some sort of a portal for hell. Talking about the portal I looked around and found that there were no traces of the portal gate that had been mentioned before. "Archers, could you locate the portal gate somewhere? Was it blasted by anyone of you or had it disappeared just like that?" I pulled an archer to me and inquired as he relayed the message around to be on the lookout of the portal. If it can't be destroyed then it should be swallowed by the earth for several miles underground and it would be impossible for the sorceror to even summon it out from there. After some minutes, Phoenix was the one reported that they can't find the portal gate anywhere. "Alright, it's already dusk and we can't see s**t from here. Earl, let's start the process to bury these deep into the core of the earth. Everyone clear out of this place. Penelope, you can start the process of replanting once Earl had done his job." "Talladrin and Walter, do you think you could work together and summon water from the ground and water the whole place once it's completed?" Priestess Talladrin and Walter looked at me and after some time of thinking, they understood what I wanted then to do. It's simple to make a small water spout from the ground up as Priestess Talladrin conjured up her Tempest winds and spray the water around the area like rain droplets. "Will do, Your Majesty. It's as simple as child's play then." Priest Earl picked up a stick and placed it on the ground before he conjured up a small sinkhole right in the centre of Hellsgate. Slowly the sinkhole swallowed up the molten lava pool, hundred years old trees and the dilapidated and broken logging cabins surrounding it. It seemed that the whole process would be taking some time as I saw a lot of large boulders, red mud et cetera being exhumed out from the ground as the sinkhole acted like a blender and slowly became larger. When Priest Earl was busy doing his thing, I was wondering if he could do the same and swallow the lava monsters and the rest of the horses before. It would be easier than trying to locate every one of them and taking them out from the air...! It would solve the whole mess in meer minutes...! As the sinkhole became larger in circumference, everyone around there took many steps back so they won't get sucked in by accident. Within half an hour, Priest Earl had almost made a visible bald patch of the previously Hellsgate settlement, visible from the sky once we are airborne as Priestess Penelope began to sow the seeds that she had in her hands together with the rest of the archers around there. It was the Baobab seeds that she had and she simply tossed it around and covered the whole place with the seeds. Next would be Priest Walter that conjured up the groundwater that seemed to seep into the ground as Priestess Talladrin used her Tempest winds and brought the water forcefully out from the hole that Priest Walter had dug up earlier. The groundwater raised skywards as Priestess Talladrin controlled only a small part for her winds to be concentrated instead of the whole area. The water was then brought skywards and soon a sort of light drizzle began to fall around the whole area. It was a sight to behold because we had not seen any kinds of rain when we were back in our town...! It was as if our part of town was devoid of rain, high winds, snow or even any kinds of natural calamities...! =*= "Let's get packing now. All Priest and Priestess, please follow His Majesty up the airship first. All ground units give ground support." Phoenix announced to everyone as we grabbed hold of the rappelling rope and the roll-up ladders respectively as began our climb upwards into the belly of the air hip, that was hovering slightly 20 to 25 feet above the ground. "Aren't you coming along with us, Phoenix? There are no souvenirs that you could gather from here. Everything is baldy and very airy around here. Haha. It would be some time when the Baobab trees would spout its tenderlings." Phoenix eyed me sideways and laughed. He wasn't looking for any souvenirs like his partner, Eagle would normally do. He just wants to make sure that everyone gets off the ground before the two of them boarded the airship. After everyone had boarded the airship sometime later, it was such a sight to see such a big patch of baldness that could be seen from the airship. Now, if anyone were to ask where the direction of Hellsgate, we would simply tell them to fly over and see the bald patch of the forest. That's where Hellsgate used to be. Hahaha... Bald's Gate... =*= "Next trip, the marching hordes that Our Majesty had blasted them with fireballs out from this airship's arse....! It would be just a few minutes from here at full speed. I'd better bring this airship higher. Men...! Turn on the dragon light. We don't want this airship to be flying around blindly in the dark...! " The captain of the airship 911 Lightning announced as he got one of the aircrewmen to closed the ramp as he propelled the airship higher and moved forward right after the mooring lines and roll up ladders had been brought up safely. The airship moved not at full speed as the captain had said earlier but almost to a crawling speed as both of the dragon lights were trained on the ground in search of the hordes that had been exterminated earlier. "Captain, we need to go higher so the Dragon lights would be able to cover a larger area." one of the aircrewmen hollered back at the captain of the airship and he simply complied as he made the airship climb higher. After some time the aircrewmen called out to the captain that he had seen some movements on the ground and discovered that it was a group of wood elves and they were beckoning to the airship to follow them. "Captain, the wood elves are beckoning us to follow them. This would lead us to the hordes that had been totally wiped out earlier." "Alright, I could see where the wood elves area. Train the light a few feet ahead of them so I could traverse this airship along to the direction. All onboard, please get ready to disembark once I gave you the signal." The captain of the airship instructed as everyone aye in unison. This would be the second and last assignment of the evening and we all can't wait to get this over with and head back to the safety of our home. =*= Meanwhile... Many miles away from Hellsgate, a lone greenskin was trudging on the ground. It had an innate skill where its single step would actually be 3 to 5 steps of a normal greenskin. It trudged on and was sort of bashing through the vegetation and undergrowth. With its low light vision, it was able to traverse into another region with ease. This time, it would not look for another settlement that had long been abandoned but instead would be looking for a high vantage point almost like a plateau where it would be able to make another spawning point for the greenskins. However this time it had a plan. It would not congregate every single race in one group but instead, would be putting them into separate groups and would tell the rest to make themselves scarce first. In this way, the weird thunder cloud would not be able to pinpoint on their new location and the rest of the troops would be able to blend with the foliage. This time it had a plan and it would need to get the heavy artillery over. It looked around and after ensuring that the place is safe for spawning, it removed the portal gate amulet around his neck and began to place it on the ground. A few moments later, the portal gate pulsated and it began to regain its original size before it was shrunk. "WELCOME MAUSAN BREAVHREN.  IAV'UK AVIME FOR UUK AVO NAUK-GROUP KURRAUZ AGAIN...!" The sorceror raised its arms high in the air while holding on to the scrawny looking wooden staff as the light of the portal gate began to shine as the light enveloped the darkness of the forested area. That area is now being called as Blackthorne. =*= Dear friends, if you spot any errors, please leave your comments in the paragraphs or the chapter section.
