"Alright class take a seat and lower your voices! We have a new student that needs to be welcome". The teacher snapped. The class calmed down and stared at the teacher before towards the door as it opened. The same boy walked in and everyone stared in silent. "This is Jack, welcome him nicely. Take a seat anywhere". Jack nodded and walked around before sitting two desk to the left of Tom. The teacher nodded and went on announcing what they was about to be learning about. Tom softly turned his head trying to see Jack. There was a strange smell coming off him. Much more as a caramel smell. A sweet smell thay was ment for him. Looking away, he shook his head and grabbed some paper so he could take notes. "Ice". Tom jumped hitting his leg on the top of the desk. The teacher looked back and lower the marker that was in his hand. "Tom, are you alright"? He asked. "Yeah, I just felt something bit me". "Is it ants"? "I don't know. I'm looking for it". "Ok, just let me know so I can report it and have the class cleaned right". He nodded and act like he was about to start back taking notes so the teacher would stop bothering him. "Now like I was saying if you divide sixty-two by a hundred you should get what"? He turned looking at the class of students that wouldn't dare raise their hands to answer the teacher. He sigh and placed the marker down. "Come on guys, you all know it I bet. Just someone answer". Jack raised his hand and the teacher happily called on him. "It depends how you do it. But since you said sixty-two divided by a hundred, then the answer is zero point sixty-two". Jack replied. "Correct! Now...". Tom zoned the teacher out. He didn't want to listen to him anymore. It wasn't like he was failing his class, he's passing with all a's in every subject. He just don't like that class. He raised his hand waiting for the teacher to call on him. "Yes Tom". "May I go to the restroom"? "Go ahead, and don't take long". "Ok". He stood and left out the classroom heading down the hall. His first class is the only one that don't have Gem in it. All the others, he was there. "If Jack didn't showed up...". He thought back to when his eyes changed colors and he was about to show everything to the whole school. "What would I have done"? He walked into the restroom and froze. He felt like his life was over as he saw Gem washing his hands with a calm expression. But as he saw him, a smirk formed and a dark expression came to his face. "Tom". He grin. He grabbed paper towels and dried his hands before dashing towards him. Tom backed up hitting his back on the wall and Gem slammed him harder denting the wall. Pain shot through his body and he looked down. "You don't have that boy with you this time! Your done for"! He swung but Tom dodge and rushed out the restroom. Out of fear, he turned away from the classroom and ran down the rest of the hall. Hs skied the corner and slammed into two boys. As he stumbled back, he looked at them with complete fear. "Tom where your going"?! One asked walking towards him. He backed up but stopped as he heard Gem come behind him. "Why your running Tom"?! He looked back before in front of him. He felt like everything was over. Just as they was about to attack him, a door opened and out stepped a teacher. She frown and looked at them. "You boys get to class right now"! The others scattered and Tom just stood there. She looked at him and reached towards him but he stepped away. "I wish you would stop protecting them. They will never stop if you want to keep them safe". He walked off heading back towards the class.
