Will of the Moon Goddess

All eyes are on my white wolf, coated with blood, their Alphas, and my own blood alike. I stare into the ranks when slowly one by one; they all begin to bow, placing their heads completely on the ground. A sign of complete respect and total surrender. No one from either side dares to move.

I walk closer towards the Black Water pack and shift back to my human form, still bleeding slightly from my stab wounds and covered in blood but I pay them no notice. I feel no pain.

Realizing I’m completely naked Ian’s wolf comes over and stands in front of me in an attempt to cover my nakedness. He growls at me slightly letting me know that he’s not happy about everyone seeing me naked. I put my hand on his neck to calm him and he sits his massive wolf down beside me.

“Owen Stark from Black Water, please come forward” Looking out over the ranks, I finally see one wolf stand and slowly he makes his way into the opening of the clearing, he steps in front of me and bows his wolf all the way to the ground.

“Alpha” he calls to me in the mass mind-link, since his wolf can’t speak “I am Owen Stark”

“Owen Stark, the Moon Goddess has chosen you to take over and lead the Black Water pack as their new Alpha; to rise where your previous Alpha failed. Do you accept?”

“I do not wish to fight you Alpha” he says still bowed

“There will be no more fighting today. This is the will of the Moon Goddess herself! Do you accept your new position?”

His wolf looks at me for a moment before deciding.

“Yes Alpha, I accept”

“Good, now please choose your Beta, one you trust and know to be loyal.”

I could tell Owen was still uncertain on whether to believe me but then he turned around and called out to someone in the pack. A moment later, another small soft grey wolf stood and made its way next to Owen.

“Alpha,” the small grey wolf said as he bowed to me. “I am Zeke”.

“Come forward both of you” They both took a few steps closer to me.

I reached my hands out and placed them on both sides of Owen’s wolf. I could feel my body heat and I could see a soft glow radiating from my body. As the glow grew stronger, so did Owen; his wolf became bigger, stronger, and the fur on his wolf darkened to a midnight black with a white patch of fur in the shape of the crescent moon around his right eye as a sign of the Moon Goddess.

After a few seconds, I let go of Owen and walked over to Zeke, placing my hands on his wolf and repeating the same process. His wolf grew to be just as large as Owen’s wolf now stood and his coat a gorgeous dark silk grey.

“Black Water, I now present to you your new Alpha, Alpha Owen and Beta Zeke!” The Black Water pack howled out and cheered for their new Alpha!

“Now Shift,” I tell them, and they do. As the two friends look at one another, I am sure they look incredibly different in their human form now as well.

Ian huffed at the now two gorgeous naked men standing in front of me. ‘Luna, will you please put some clothes on,' he said making me roll my eyes.

“You are just as possessive as my mates” I reply to him

Turning around I could see Aiden and Damien walking up to me with Keegan and Lucus following behind them in wolf form. Damien reaches me and after taking off his shirt, he slips it over my head covering me up.

‘Finally,’ I heard Ian mutter, causing me to shake my head

Now speaking more softly, I address the Beta, “Beta Zeke, you may return home but tomorrow morning you are to report back here where you will meet with Beta Keegan,” I turned around gesturing towards Keegan’s wolf, his wolf gave a nod at the new Beta. “You will observe and learn the ways of our pack over the next week, at which time you will then take everything you have learned here and bring it back to your Alpha and to your pack.”

“Understood Alpha,” Zeke says as he bows his head to me

Alpha Owen now turns and addresses his pack, “Release the members of Blood Moon” and I can see wolves immediately tear at the ropes and bindings holding our people, now free everyone starts to make their way back across the clearing.

“Black Water let’s go home” and with that, all of the warriors and members of the Black Water pack turn and head back into their territory.

Only Alpha Owen and Beta Zeke remain as Damien and Aiden finally scoop me up into their arms. Both holding me tightly against them, I can feel them trembling as their emotions come through the bond, of just how scared they were that they might have lost me.

“I’m here, I would never leave you guys, I’m right here.” I say forcing their eyes to mine only to see they are misted over, tears threatening to fall. I kiss them both “Let’s finish this so that way you guys can take me home”.

After speaking with Alpha Owen and Beta Zeke, plans were made for meetings this week to discuss peace and open trade between our two packs. We even invited their pack to my Luna Ceremony just now a few days away. Once we were done, Damien and Aiden picked me up and without saying a word, carried me all the way home where Dr. Williams was waiting.

Dr. Williams stitched up my stab wounds and made sure there was no serious damage. He gave me a shot of antibiotics and something to help with the healing, once he was done, he asked that I stop by the hospital the next day to follow up with him. After promising to do so, he pulled me into a hug.

“Thank you, Luna, for everything. My niece was among those taken today and I don’t know what we would have done if we had lost her. You saved many lives today.”

He gave me another quick smile and then headed out the door, ordering me to rest for the night as he did.

Aiden then helped me upstairs to our bedroom where Damien already had the jacuzzi filling with water. Soaking in the tub burnt at my wounds but I knew it would help with the healing, and my muscles needed it tonight.

Their hands continuously roamed my body while they pressed kisses to the top of my head. It was several minutes before Aiden finally spoke, breaking the silence.

“When we saw him on top of you with that knife. . . . . . he . . .” He couldn’t bring himself to finish the words, “I thought we had lost you.”

Looking up into his face, it broke my heart. I placed my hand on his cheek.

“I would never leave you, but I knew I was meant to face him, that is why she has given me these gifts, I think. She wants me to help liberate her packs from those who lead out of cruelty and greed and bestow the title to one who is worthy of leading.”

“Baby girl, you mean she intends for you to do this again?” Damien asks going still

“Yes, I think so. There are so many packs where their Alphas do not do right by their people. That needs to change, the way of life for all wolves need to change. And I think I am meant to play a part in it.”

“Oh, Moon Goddess please no, not our mate, let me take her place instead!” Damien cries out to the Moon Goddess.

I hear her voice again but judging by the surprising reactions of Aiden and Damien, they hear her too.

“She is the one I have chosen, but do not worry my sweet children, for I will always be with her and keep her safe during a challenge for that is the purpose of her gifts.” We all looked up at each other shocked, “but many others will try to come for her the more they learn of her. Aiden, Damien, Ian,” she said pausing between each of their names, “all three of you have a special role to play, you must help me keep her safe.”

“We will” I hear them both breathe out. “Cherish and love her for she is very special.”

And just like that, her beautiful voice is gone.

Damien pulls me tighter against his chest; Aiden presses himself harder into my back, both nuzzling my neck.

“I promise you princess that we will keep you safe.” He says into my neck

“I know you will, but for right now. I just want to enjoy you,” I say giving Damien a kiss, “both of you” now turning my attention to Aiden, “at the same time.”
