“Luna its time” Lisa said but my head was still swirling around with all these thoughts.
Lisa then opened the doors and led me to end of the aisle way. Looking up ahead, there were swarms of pack members filling every seat and some even standing on the outside of the aisles. The hall was packed with members of Blood Moon and even some from Black Water.
Looking ahead I could see my two gorgeous mates waiting for me near the front with Ian and Keegan off to the side. I took a deep breath and tried to focus on them as I slowly began to make my way down towards them, but I couldn’t help but to overhear whispers among the people. Wolves already have excellent hearing but being an Alpha by birth, mine was even more so advanced.
“Do you think she really is the white wolf?” said one, “There’s no way she could have taken down Alpha Stephen!” said another, “Why won’t the Alpha’s tell us who she is?”
I finally made my way down the aisle, and the looks on Damien and Aiden’s face said it all. They both looked at me with so much love in their eyes; it brought tears to my own. They were beyond stunning standing beside one another; their tux’s fitted perfectly, outlining their physique in a way that almost made me drool just by starring at them. It also wanted me to get them out of their clothes just as quick. Their neck ties were accented with a perfect crimson to match my dress along with gold filigree to tie it all together.
Standing there looking at my mates nothing else truly mattered; but this was about to be my pack and my family. And I didn’t want to keep any secrets from them. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself before turning myself around.
“Before we begin, I would like to say something.” I could hear several whispers becoming louder.
“Princess what are you doing?” I head Aiden whisper behind me
“I understand that I am new to this pack and to this land. Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of meeting most of you before today, but I know that many of you have questions and reservations about my becoming your Luna and I would like to set a few things straight.”
“Baby girl, you don’t have to do this.” Damien softly added behind me
“Yes, I do.” I tried giving him my best reassuring smile
“I know that Aiden and Damien consider every member of this pack to be like family and they would protect every one of you as such. And one does not keep secrets from family.”
“My name is Camille Winters. I came here from a small pack near the Western border where my father was Alpha. I was training to take over as Alpha of my home pack when I guess the Moon Goddess had other plans for me. She blessed me with abilities that I truly can’t explain, and she helped to guide me here; she guided me towards my mates.” I said looking back at Damien and Aiden before I continued.
“I don’t know why she chose me, but she has brought me here for a reason. Not every pack is as blessed with such caring and kind Alpha’s as I am sure most of you know. The Moon Goddess has heard the suffering of many of her children and has called for a change. And so yes, it was me who fought Alpha Stephen in the clearing, I am the white wolf that took him down.” You could hear sharp intakes of breath among the crowds. “This path the Moon Goddess has set me down will not be easy. I cannot lie and say that danger will not come to this pack as a result, but I can assure you that I will do everything I can to keep everyone in this family safe.”
“If the Moon Goddess has truly sent you, can you prove it?” some man from a few rows back shouted out.
I thought for a moment before turning around, facing back towards my mates. “Aiden, would you please help me with the zipper?”
He hesitated for a moment before stepping closer and slowly undoing the zipper down the back of my dress. I pulled my hair over my shoulders and revealed the tattoo of the Moon Goddess between my shoulder blades.
Audible gasps could be heard from everyone.
“I was in the clearing that day” a small voice spoke up. I turned around and Aiden zipped my dress back up and he and Damien both came to stand at my side.
All eyes turned to this young girl as she continued, “There were several of us that had been taken that day, we were all bound and tied out on the clearing, but I could see everything. Luna Camille did challenge Alpha Stephens; I have never seen anyone fight an Alpha with the strength that she had. I believe her, and it is because of her that I am alive right now. It is because of her that my father, who was a warrior on the front lines that night, was able to come home. She saved many lives in risking her own life for us; and so, I would be honored to have you as my Luna.” The girl said with a bow.
Many others began to follow suit all bowing towards me, a few others calling out that they would be honored to have me as their Luna. The acceptance of the pack had tears once again threatening to spill, when suddenly I heard the cutest little voice speak up from the crowd,
“Miss Luna, could I see your wolf?”
It came from the most adorable little boy sitting in the second row, he couldn’t have been older than 5. The question had me and several others laughing at his adorableness.
“After the ceremony if Luna Camille is willing.” Damien chuckled out towards the boy who clapped his hands together in excitement.
I gave the boy a quick wink.
“Ok, now let’s carry on with the ceremony” said the elder who was in front officiating.
The rest of the ceremony went on without a hitch. Aiden and Damien poured some of their blood into a chalice along with my own for me drink as I accepted and pledged myself as Luna to the Blood Moon pack and to its people. I could feel the snap in my head, and I was welcomed into the pack mind link and was overjoyed as it rang out with cheers and acceptance from the members.
I was so grateful once the ceremony was over so that I could finally get something to eat. I didn’t realize being a nervous wreck all day would make me so hungry. There was music and lots of dancing and drinking and for the next several hours I was introduced to several hundred pack members. My head was spinning but in a good way. There were also several questions about me asked to which I would answer honestly.
Shortly before dusk, I recognized a woman and her little boy making their way over to say hello.
“Miss Luna, I waited patiently, could I see your wolf now?” The adorable little boy asked again. His mother introduced the boy as Brian.
“You most certainly have been patient, haven’t you Brian? And yes, you can.”
Damien and Aiden followed me around the side, there was absolutely no way I was going to risk ruining this dress. Once my dress was off, I shifted and made my way back out with a proud Aiden and Damien at my side.
Making my way back towards little Brian, I could see him stare at me with large eyes, almost like he was scared at my size. I could see his mother stare, equally almost scared with my large wolf. Once I got closer to him, I lowered my wolf and laid down on my belly getting more at his eye level.
“Hi Brian, don’t be afraid.” I called to him in his mind. He looked at me cautiously before coming over and grabbing my large face with his little hands. I licked the side of his face making him squeal out in delight. He then began to climb onto my shoulders and so I stood up with him still on my back.
“Hold on”
“Whoa, mom! I can see everyone from up here!” he called out to his mom super giddy making her laugh.
After a few minutes, Damien reached up and helped the boy off my back. He petted my snout before he turned and walked away, waving his little hand goodbye. Several other members came up to and awed at my size and my solid white coat. Many couldn’t believe that my tattoo even transferred over to my wolf.
Back inside, I spent what was left of the night taking turns dancing with my mates. It was a perfect way to end the evening, well almost perfect; other than the ceremony, I hadn’t seen Ian the rest of the night, I thought for sure he would at least ask me for a dance.
