“Coffee?” Aiden asks as a sleepy Damien finally appears in the kitchen.
“Uh, have I ever told you I hate that you’re a morning person?”
“Pretty sure you have, but without me, you wouldn’t get s**t done. So you’re welcome!” Aiden said cheerfully, earning a groan from Damien.
A small knock at the door put a smile on both their faces. “Come in” Aiden yelled out.
Julianna pushed through the doors with the cart carrying more than enough breakfast for the two Alphas.
“Alpha Aiden, Alpha Damien” Julianna says as she bows slightly, showing her neck as a sign of respect. “Good morning”.
“Good morning Julianna, how did the doctor’s appointment for your mother go this weekend?”
“It went well; the doctor gave her a few medications to help with the arthritis pain. They seem to be helping. I appreciate you asking Alpha Aiden.” Julianna gave him a small smile before continuing to set the plates of food on their table.
“Glad to hear that, please tell your mom to take as much time as she wants. And if either of you ever needs anything, you let us know.”
“I will do Alpha Damien, thank you.” She says, bowing her head once again. “You both have always been so kind to my family.” And with that, she takes the now empty cart and leaves them to their meal.
“Such a sweet girl,” Aiden states.
“Pretty sure she’s too young for you” Damien throws back as he continues filling his plate.
“You’re disgusting; you know that’s not how I meant that. She’s like a sister.”
“Oh, calm down. Maybe you do need to get laid, geesh. Get that stick out of your ass for bit.”
“Why do I even bother? Anyways, don’t forget we hav . . .”
“If you’re about to interrupt my breakfast with work, please don’t. Whatever it is, it can wait until after I finish my bacon.”
“Fine, but at some point today I nee . . . .
“I know, I know. You need me to do something, somewhere at some point today. Got it. Now, will you please eat so we can get going.”
. . . . . . . . . . .
After breakfast, both Alphas head out back to get a workout in before their day gets started.
“Best two out of three?” Damien says, nodding at the mat.
“Actually, how about a run? My wolf is anxious for some reason.
“Ok, first one back to t. .. “
“Is everything a competition with you?” Aiden chuckled.
“No!. . . . Ok fine, let’s just go. My wolf wants to get out as well”.
Walking over to the ottoman on the back patio, they both made quick work of their clothes, throwing them down on a chair and letting their wolves take over the shift.

Damien and Aiden have been best friends since childhood. Damien’s father was the Alpha of the Bloodlust pack and was heavily known for their elite warriors and brutally intense fighting skills. Aiden’s father was the Alpha of the neighboring Harvest Moon pack, who’s pack was extremely wealthy thanks to smart investment opportunities and ownership of multiple large corporations over the years.
Their fathers were close-knit friends and ran their packs in a similar fashion. Always visiting one another to bounce ideas off of or to gain insight from the other. The Bloodlust pack would help train the Harvest Moons pack warriors and Harvest Moon would in return help the pack's trade and investment deals. This meant that Aiden and Damien grew up almost like brothers.
Aiden had a knack for finances and negotiation. He was tall, about 6’5” with a muscular, athletic build. He had broad strong shoulders that went down to his slim waist. Damien was also around 6’5’ and was one of the strongest fighters most wolves have ever seen. He was solid muscle and about the size of two regular men.
Most elite fighters would think twice before ever picking a fight with him, he was intimidating just to look at. He would spend all his free time helping to train at the fight center. He took pride in working with not only the top elite warriors but also with those new to fighting who were still learning the basics.
As young Alphas, they made the decision to combine their two packs into one, creating one of the largest and strongest known packs in South Dakota and the Midwest; the Blood Moon pack. Both as acting Alphas since a pack this large would be almost near impossible for one Alpha to run on their own.
They have been doing so successfully for the past four years now. The wealth and wellbeing of their pack has grown exponentially since they took over thanks to smart investment and trade deals.
Attacks on their borders are few and far between, as most rogues know by now that their warriors are some of the fiercest and most well trained. None of their pack members ever need to worry about financial struggles or concern themselves with mundane issues. They are a pack that takes care of their own.
For having over 1200 pack members in the Blood Moon pack, Aiden and Damien were loved and respected by all. The only thing the pack wished was for them to find their Luna.
