Movie Please

899 Words
I'm so bored. I have been very paranoid ever since that night when I went to the movies with Lilly. I haven't seen her, and Barley had been texting her over the last three months. I don't know, maybe she thought that I was weird? maybe she was just giving me my space? Either way, I felt I owed her an apology. Maybe, after all, it was all just in my head, and maybe this whole thing with Johnson really is finally over. It's time I move on, forgive, and start my process to healing. At least I thought it was anyway. It's been three months since I saw or really talked to Lilly. Nothing out the ordinary has happened, so at this point, I'm thinking I'm dealing with past trauma, you know? On a cold ass Friday night, my parents decide to go on a date. My uncle had a little date he went to go meet at this motel or whatever (none of my business). I was home all alone. I wasn't nervous. I'm a grown ass woman and wasn't my first time home alone, haha... well, an hour into the evening by myself, my phones DINGS. Yes, it was a text from Lilly. "Hey, girl, how have you been? what are you doing?" Read a text from Lilly. "Hey, nothing home alone about to watch a movie. I owe you an apology it was obviously all in my head, and I overreacted. I'm sorry, Lilly, " I responded back. Of course she forgave me and we became cool again. Which was like weird, but of course, I was clearly wrong about my other suspicions, so I tried not to overthink too much. Before I go further into this story. If you haven't taken any lessons yet from this book and the first part. Understand this lesson "Always Trust Your Gut." I wish I had trusted mine. Maybe things wouldn't have turned for the worst after becoming cool with Lilly again. We planned a dinner while my parents and uncle went out of town on business together a month from the time we became cool again. Everything seemed normal and fine, we was texting every day and even would video chat. I didn't expect anything crazy from this dinner at all. I just expect an old friend who I haven't seen in a few months over for dinner and maybe a movie. This particular day was a Saturday. It was freezing cold and I was so happy Lilly was coming here so I didn't have to leave my cozy sofa. "Hey Tyler, I'm otw!" A text from Lilly came through on my phone. I replied back with a thumbs up and got up to pre heat the oven. I was going to make a pizza for us to eat, and I even snuck my parents' wine. I grabbed some popcorn, putting it in the microwave. Listening to it "Pop, Pop, Pop". I put the popcorn in a bowl and went to put it down on the table in front of the couch and TV when I got another text from Lilly. She was five minutes away. "BEEEEEEP", oops, that was the oven I heard. I put the pizza in the oven and unlocked my front door. "Front door is unlock. Just come in when you get here. I got popcorn and the pizza in the oven!" I texted Lilly. I put my phone down and sat on the couch, waiting on the pizza and Lilly to arrive any moment. "Hey girl!" Lilly yelled as she opened and rushed through my front door. "Heyyyy," I replied, getting up on my feet with a big smile and arms out to reach for her hug. It felt nice to have someone with me other than family. Yeah, it's only been a few months, but like I said in the beginning, since that (person we shall no longer name) situation happened; she's been my only friend. I have my co-workers, but none of us hang out outside of work. It's depressing how lonely I am, seriously. Anywayyyyy.. "I miss you girl how have you been?" Lilly replied back and embraced me with the biggest hug I've had in a long time. We sat on the sofa, drank our wine and ate our pizza. We both loved horror movies so Lilly picked out a movie We both haven't seen yet, I grabbed the bowl of popcorn and sat back, snuggled up to Lilly. It felt like I was actually at peace. I finally didn't feel paranoid or like anybody was up to something. The movies start, and we both jumped at the first scene that came on the screen. The best part of a scary movie is getting scared, right? we both let out a giggle after being scared by the start of the movie as it wasn't expected to scare us that early on in the movie Watching this intense movie was exciting and fun for me. I think it was for Lilly, too. It's dark outside, I noticed from peaking out the window right behind the sofa. "Let's turn off the lights, girl," I said as I stood up and hit the light switch above me on the wall. It was completely dark, only light was shinning from the TV. That's how I liked watching my movies, especially horror movies.
