But as she sat gagged and tied in the Sentinel’s barracks under The Tomb, with all the dead guard’s bodies lying all around her, she realized that there could never be a thing more horrifying than it. With her own disbelieving eyes, she saw how the man with the burnt face systematically brought down every single man inside all by himself. The man was a cold-blooded killer, of that she was now very certain.
