chapter 4- the date

Dravens pov

I wake up and grab my phone to see what time it is and it's 7 am. I get up and get dressed and then I quietly go and check on Carina to see if she is still sleeping. when I knocked on her door I waited and there was no answer at first but then I focused my senses and I heard a heartbeat in the room its slow sounds like she's still sleeping. so I open the door and step inside I was right she was sound asleep, she looked so peaceful and beautiful even though she was drooling on the pillow it was still cute.

As I get closer I touch her face and I get this tingling sensation that feels like my body is warming. It must be the mate bond it's very powerful. " we need to mark our mate now." Valerio said. " not now i***t she needs to know us first and get comfortable are you trying to chase her away." I say back and my wolf goes away his presence is no longer there. I don't want to seem like more of a creep so I walk away even though it hurts to every time I walk away from her it's like a void forms in my heart but I know I need to give her time. so I leave the room and head to the gym so I can train a little bit.

Carinas pov

I wake up feeling a warm feeling. And then I notice it I was drooling. ugh I wipe the drool and then go into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror I look disgusting hair all frizzy and my face is wet from the drool. so I brush my teeth, wash my face and then get in the shower. After I am done I head downstairs and I find the kitchen where I find 3 men, they all had their shirts off and were sweating. Now this is a sight to see

"Hello there, I'm Craig you must be Carina." the man says.

"I'm James the one who drove you here." he says and then I remember him yea he was the guy who picked me up.

" I'm Owen, nice to meet you." he says and then 2 woman came out and put their arms around James and Owen.

" and these are our wives, Davina and crystal." Davina was James's wife and crystal was Owen's.

And then Crystal says " hello miss we haven't met what's your name."

" Carina." I say and they both came and gave me a hug. Okay weird.

"Goodmorning Beautiful." I hear Draven say and I turn around and see him and OH MY GOD he was hot I mean he had the body of a Greek God all muscles and abs and swear dripping down his body and his hair was plastered to the top of his head and then I felt it again that pull.

" careful now buttercup don't want to leave a poll of drool." he says with a wink and I rolled my eyes

" you wish." I said to him everyone laughed

" I like her." Davina said and everyone else agreed and then they all left

" how'd you sleep." Draven asked

"good." I said

"glad to hear. Now I'm going to go shower then I'll give you a tour of the house and then I've got a surprise for you later." he said surprise what surprise.

" what surprise. " I said curious.

" now it wouldn't be a surprise if I spoiled it." he said and then headed for the stairs.

while I looked for something to eat I found lucky charms my favorite and ate that as I waited. then after some time Draven came back down. " ready for your tour, my lady." he said and bowed I laughed.

" This house has over a million bedrooms, we can house an army, my great great grandfather built it like that all of our friends and family live here with us." he says A million bedrooms jeez

"why so many, what could you possibly need with a million rooms." I asked concerned

" because one friends and family and Also I offer to house certain business partners who travel very far to get here." he says

" very interesting, so this house has been in your family for generations." I ask

" yes, it's been passed down from generations and my children will get this place after I retire or when I die." he says

then we get to a control room which he says he uses for surveillance in case of break ins in his house or businesses and oh my God his control room is much bigger than mine I'm kind of jealous. then we get to the kitchen and living room which I've been to already and then we get to the gym they have and I see people sparring and training.

"I like this place it's much bigger than mine." I say

"yes well you live in the city and I live out here Ms. Mafia." he says how did he know

" wait how did you.." I started

" know you had your own mafia, well you saw my control room I wanted to see who you were that night I met you in the club when I came home I looked you up. and before you ask I have access to legal and illegal information." he says and I'm impressed.

" I looked you up too and your clean. just saying if we are admitting stuff here." I say and he laughs.

then he takes me to their garden out the back it was the most beautiful place I've seen I wanted to stay here forever. it had sunflowers, daisy's and roses which are all my favorite and it had herbs and other plants apple trees and other fruits grew here it was amazing. " this is my mother's favorite place, she practically lives here." he said. " what happened to her. your mom and your dad where is he." I asked

" my mom is on vacation currently she should be back soon." he said

" oh okay. Sounds nice." I say

after we head back inside and he told me to get ready for my surprise so I ran upstairs changed in a crop top and jeans and came back down there was a not on the counter

Carina,

meet me in the garden, you will find your surprise there.

Draven

so I ran into the garden and it was Beautiful there were candles lit and it set up a path I walked to the end where the candles formed a circle and there was Draven in a flannel shirt and jeans and I look down and there was a blanket with a basket. A picnic, no one's ever done one for me.

" this is beautiful." I say to him

" not as beautiful as you though." he says back and takes my hand and we sit and he pulls out sandwiches with grapes and juice packs.

" I hope you like it I didn't have time to cook cause Davina and Crystal were hogging the kitchen. But Bon appetite." he says and I laugh

" no it's beautiful, thank you."

" so I wanted to do this cause I wanted to take you on a date you'd remember and I thought we can get to know each other and ask questions." he says

and that's what we did we asked questions he asked about my parents which are still alive and live in New York with my siblings in their own house and we just have so much in common we like the same color, blue we like the same movies, tv shows, everything was perfect. After we ate we laid there looking at the stars.

" you see that one that's the big dipper, and look Apollo, and the northern star." he points them out

" it's beautiful I never really paid attention to astronomy." I say

" it's a very interesting topic and all the shapes. plus when you follow the northern star it takes you wherever you need to be." he says and looks at me he then leans over.

"can I kiss you?" he asked

"yes, you may." I said and he crashes his lips on mine and it was like tint fireworks were going off and we were pulling each other closer like we wanted to devour each other to become one. And then he pulled away.

"that was.." I started

" amazing." he took the words right from my mouth. and then he laid back down and wr talked some more and I didn't even realize I fell asleep.

Dravens pov.

that kiss was amazing. I could kiss her for the rest of my life and not get tired. I pulled away and laid back down and we talked some more then I realized she got quiet so I looked over and she fell asleep. I chuckled to myself and I picked her up and brought her to her room and laid her on the bed. and I sat there admiring her for a bit and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Goddess she's beautiful, I wish I could capture this moment but I'm tired myself and I know she would freak if she woke up with me in her bed. So I turn to leave and before I close her door I get one last look at her before I leave...
