-Summer- After the others left the office late in the evening, I rose from the couch and approached Ash. He offered a faint smile as I drew nearer. I found myself cherishing that smile. Josh had a pleasant smile too, but Ash’s had a profound effect on me. “Is everything all right?” he asked. “Yes, I just wondered if you wanted to take a walk before we part ways for the night.” Ash smiled and nodded before rising from his seat, and we exited the office together.
