We appeared in the middle of the courtyard. I knew that, not because I could see it, but because I recognized the sounds of swords clashing and men grunting and laughing. Rae's lips left mine and I felt the cold surround me as his arms left my body. I no longer felt safe. Twice in one day that someone had tried to kill me, not to mention the fact that I watched as his lips touched another's and I haven't slept in almost a day.  It's mid morning by now and I was supposed to be cleaning the main hall for the prince's wedding in three days, but I doubt that is going to happen now.
