It was all going so well, the day we bonded was spent inside the princes' room, Calen assured me it would be ok, that the prince wouldn't care because he was rooting us. We talked about a lot of things that day and I learned more about Calen's childhood. He lost his older brother in the war, and his parents never fully recovered or grieved properly, this left him and his younger sister unable to cope with their grief, but luckily that only made them closer. I learned about his friendship with prince Raegel, how they connected over their losses and how they have many things in common. The prince is elated for us, he himself has never found his fated mate but is due to marry in four weeks, effectively ending his search for his mate.
