Never to be caught unfresh.

The sound of a ringing phone was what woke Amina up the next day, groggy with sleep, she reached out to the bedside table and picked up the phone. Without checking the caller ID, she picked the call and placed the phone on her ear. "He...Hello? Katrina?" Ben's hesitant voice came out through the phone. "Ben?" "Yeah it's...it's me." She took the phone off her ear and glanced at the screen, then rolled her eyes in irritation. "Ben it's 7am, what could possibly be so important you'd call me up so early." She suddenly wished she hadn't given the i***t her number. "Well um... I've found what you asked me to check," at this she sat alert, all traces of sleep gone. "Really?" That was fast. "Yes, uhm I'm at a coffee shop close to your area, Café Royalè, you know the place?" "Yeah, yeah, I'll be there in five," she said and hung up the call. She jumped out of bed and dashed into the bathroom, she washed her face, brushed her teeth and took care of her daily hygiene. Due to the impromptu notice, she didn't have time to put on makeup but she did coat her plump pink lips with gloss and had enough time to change her attire to a simple white gown that hugged her chest and flared at the waist down to her mid thighs, wear a pin straight raven coloured wig and spritz on some perfume. Like the singer Falz sang in his song, she's never to be caught unfresh even though she literally just rolled out of bed. She slipped into pink flip-flops and left a note on the kitchen counter for Bisi about her whereabouts. She went out into the street and immediately regretted her choice of attire, her dress had spaghetti straps that criss crossed down the back of it and the air was chilly. It was too early in the morning for her choice of clothing. Damn it, she didn't think this through. Well she supposed now that she was out in the cold, she's going to have to take like a big girl. Getting back the lead role was worth losing a toe or two to hypothermia. The coffee shop wasn't that far anyway. By the time she got to the shop, she was so cold her teeth were almost chattering. She swung the door open, rushed inside and sagged against the door in relief. The employees had the foresight to switch their air conditioner from blowing cold air to hot. Now all she needed to be warm again was a  warn croissant and a cup of hot chocolate. She glanced around the shop, it was half filled with patrons so early in the morning, it was a Thursday anyway and Thursdays were always busy. She found Ben waving at her from a table, four tables away from where she currently stood. Dressed in a leopard print crew shirt and zebra print shorts, she could see him even if he was miles away She scoffed and almost rolled her eyes, the guy seriously needded a lot of work in the fashion department. She sashayed to the table, making sure to keep her eyes only on him. She had long since realised the key to making a man do your bidding is to make him think he's the centre of your universe. She sat down in front of him and flashed him her trademark smile. "Hi, Benny." Benny picked up his cup of hot– what appears to be tea, she wasn't sure– and swallowed the contents in one gulp. She cringed, surely that must've scalded his throat. "Hi Katrina," he fiddled with the top of a file he clutched on the table nervously. The poor guy was so shaken, she almost felt sorry for him. Too bad she was going to have to discard of him once she got what she wanted, after all he was but a pawn in her game. "What you got for me, Benny?" He slid the file to her and she caught it but didn't open it. First, she called the waiter and ordered for a croissant and hot chocolate– all on Benny, of course. Then, she tore open the file and checked the contents. It contained papers detailing Ifeanyi Daniels' history, his current address, parent's address, family members and his net worth. Her left brow curved up in surprise when she saw his net worth. Wow, for a washed up actor, he sure ha a lot of money. I wonder what he's been doing to accumulate that kind of wealth, it's certainly not smiling for a camera. The waiter came back and placed her order in front of her, instead of leaving, he lingered too long staring at her chest. She smiled a knowing smile, "Like what you see?" Embarrassed to be caught staring, he blushed and apologized profusely before scampering off like his derrière was set on fire. Amina was sixteen when she realised the power her figure had on men, she knew she was beautiful and men desired her. She didn't even need to try hard, all she had to do was stare at them like she couldn't live without them, bat her lashes coyly, trail a finger here and there and sometimes whisper some s****l innuendos in their ear and they were putty in her hands. Just like dear sweet Benny here. She picked up her croissant with a napkin and bit into it, the warm gooey goodness in it made her close her eyes and moan in ecstasy. She enjoyed the snack but the display was also for Benny's benefit and sure enough when she opened her eyes, his mouth was hanging open and he had drool dripping down the side. She smirked, he probably just orgasmed from watching her eat.  He snapped back to his senses when she cleared her throat and slid a key to her. She picked it up and examined it, confused. "What's this for?" "Uhm I uhm," he stuttered and she rolled her eyes, tired of his folly. Honestly the guy was a dimwit, she questioned how he was so good at the tech he managed on set. "It's my house key, I mean my father's key. It's for a house we have in Ikorodu, you know to stay when you go there to talk to him. We used to live there but we haven't been there in years and my dad hasn't gotten round to selling it yet." "Awwn, Benny you're such a sweetheart," she leaned across the table and plastered a kiss on his lips. As a result, he giggled happily and sighed dreamily, she could practically see the hearts popping out of his eyes. What an i***t.
