I was expecting it to be just Alice and Ulric in the conference room. Well, maybe Colt and Emmett too, they were always present for meetings. I didn’t expect, well…everyone. The moment we opened the door and stepped inside the room quieted down, everyone looking at us at once. The first thing I noticed was how Alice and Ulric were sitting next to my mom and dad, two chairs free facing them. Colt and Emmett were at the head of the table, and Jade and Alina were sitting at the other end, making me pause. I hadn’t seen Alina in a long time, years honestly. She was definitely feeling her old age, her hand wrapped in Jade’s as occasionally Jade glowed a soft white color whenever Alina struggled to cough. Jaiden was sitting absently at the table as well, though Lexi wasn’t around.
