"You only told me to come in the morning, not a specific time," I said calmly.
I inwardly fumed, "He's already engaged to Angela, yet his tone is still so unpleasant. I won't humor him."
Marcus's lips tightened, and his tone carried a hint of mockery, "So you've found a new target, and now your tone's different."
I frowned, confused, "What are you implying?"
"Still pretending? What's your relationship with that rude doctor at the hospital yesterday?"
