Angela gripped her phone so hard it took all her self-control not to smash it.
Her assistant said, "I checked with the hospital. Lucas isn't on duty there today."
"If Lucas wasn't working tonight, why won't he answer my calls? Does he even refuse to have dinner with me?" Angela grew more and more restless.
She had assumed Lucas would definitely accept her invitation and had arranged today's dinner to push things forward.
But she didn't expect Lucas not to show up at all.
Angela glanced at the private room where Marcus and Sidney were waiting for Lucas.
If Lucas really didn't come today, how would she explain it?
She coldly glared at her assistant and asked, "I told you to look into whether there's any conflict between Lucas and Marcus. Did you get anything?"
