CHAPTER 16 ELLA'S POV I watched as the pack house was being guarded thoroughly. That's when I started to search the pack house for Lola, hoping she was okay as the unsettling feeling stayed in my gut. 10 minutes later I found Lola in the gym area of the house. "Lola?" I whisper shouted as I made my way to her. To be honest I don't know why I was whispering, probably because I felt like if I talked to loud the rouges could find me. "Yeah?" Lola replied with a bored expression as she started to arm herself up with weapons. "What are you doing?" I asked shocked, to afraid to hear her say it herself. "I'm going out there." She replied with determination as she passed me and walked out of the gym without a second glance. I turned around and started running, to the point I was blocking her way. "Move." Was all she said as she looked at me with no emotion. "I can't do that." I replied as I tried to look strong, but I could already feel a few tears trying to escape me. "I said. Move, Ella!" I shook my head furiously at her as I stood my ground. She then shoved me and walked passed. I turned and grabbed her forearm, determined not to let my friend go. "Please." I whispered as I few tears escaped me. She looked at me with a strong glare but then sighed. "Ella, you have to let me go." She said gently. But I still shook my head. "Ella." "No! I won't!" Tears started to heavily free them selves as I tried to keep my friend away from danger. "Elliot is out there, I don't know what I'd do if I knew he got hurt when I had the chance to help." She then put her other hand on mind while releasing it from her forearm gently. "Please don't go, what if you get hurt?" I sobbed out looking at her. I couldn't help but feel like this was the last time I would see Lola. "I'll be okay, when have I ever turned down an invitation from a crazy adventure?" She asked with a smile, one that made me weakly chuckle. "Promise me you'll come back." She looked at me then gripped me into a tight hug. "Promises can only be made for those who know what fate has planned. I'm a dangerous teenage girl who has adventures for fun. I can't promise I'll be okay, but I can promise I'll try to come back to you." I nodded as I wiped away my tears, still feeling the wet hot trails. "I promise I'll try and be back soon." Were Lola's last words as she ran off into the hallway, leaving me alone as I tried to wipe away the tears that kept freeing themselves. I then walked back down stairs to where the shewolves were with their pups. "Ella." One of the pups yelled as she grabbed my legs, I think she was hugging them. I smiled as I grabbed her and put her on my hip. "Everything is going to be fine." I didn't know if I was saying those for the little girl or for me, but either way the feeling of something bad was still stuck in my gut. And it didn't seem to go away.
