CHAPTER 14

ELLA'S POV

Right now Miles is taking me for a walk. In the morning Miles gave me a beautiful white dress and instructed me to wear it. So, right now I'm wearing that dress as Miles leads me into the woods in the Gold Moon's territory.

"How much further?" I ask Miles as my feet start to cramp. That's right, Miles made me walk in bare feet.

"We are nearly there." Miles response as he keeps a firm grip on my hand.

That's when I hear a howl. I pull Mile's arm more close to me as I search the scenery anxiously. Miles chuckles at my behaviour, he then turns around and kisses my temple.

"It's okay." He whispers in my ear, reassuring me everything is fine.

We then stop where we stand. I then realise the Gold Moon pack members surround us. I look around us, seeing hundreds of wolves and pack members surround us. I then look back over at Miles, only to see him standing near Elliot.

I scan the crowd that surrounds me in a circle, to see if anyone can tell me what is happening. That's when I spot Lola standing near the pups with the shewolves. She catches my gaze as she smiles and nods her head. She then mouths.

"Everything is okay." Reassuring me everything is fine.

I smile at her weakly, still confused of what's going on.

"Eloise Darren." My head snaps to Elliot who calls my name from a large rock. I turn to him, giving him my full attention as the whole pack watches in suspense.

"Miles Coles." I look over to Miles who gives he's alpha full attention.

I stay standing in the middle of the crowd who watched intently.

Miles and Elliot start walking towards where I stand. Mile's comes from behind me and whispers to me lightly.

"Kneel." Still confused, I oblige.

Miles comes next to me and kneels beside me. I see him bow his head slightly showing respect, nervous of what's going on I do the same.

Elliot stands in front of us, looking down. He gives me a small smile. I smile back, knowing there's nothing to worry about, but the feeling of uneasiness stays with me.

"Eloise, do you take Miles not only as your mate but as your partner through your life for as long as fate decides."

I tilt my head over to Miles, I couldn't help but smile widely. I know exactly what's happening. It's been a month since the diner situation and since then I have grown attached to Miles.

I look back forward to Elliot and smile.

"I, Eloise take Miles to be my mate and partner through the life fate has planned for me." He gives me a weak smile and nods, he then looks over to Miles.

"Miles, do you take Eloise as not just your mate, but your partner through life that fate has planned for you."

Miles smiles at me then looks back as he brother with a serious expression, one that surprises me.

"I, Miles takes Eloise as not just my my mate, but my partner through life that fate has planned for me." He then looks at me and gives me a loving look. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Now." Elliot yells, turning to the crowd of wolves and a few pack members who stayed in human form.

"Miles." He says with he's Alpha tone. Miles starts to rise as he looks down at me.

Miles gives me he's hand for me stand. I grab it gently as I stand up fro my spot. He gives me a smile and we both turn to Elliot.

"As Mile's mate. And as the mate to the Beta of Gold Moon Pack, do you accept the responsibilities as being the beta female." I can feels everyone's eyes on me as Elliot's speech reaches their ears.

I grip the hem of my skirt on my dress. I look over at Miles who smiles sweetly at me. Just from staring at him I know exactly what I want. I turn back to Elliot and straighten my back and raise my chin.

With confidence I nod to the agreement. "I, Eloise accept all responsibility to being Mile's mate." I look back at him and smile.

The howls of cheers from the wolves break our stare, I look over to them and chuckle lightly. I smile to myself, knowing this is my life now.

"I, Alpha Elliot declare Eloise Darren as my beta female to Gold Moon Pack." That's when I feel Mile's hand snake around my waist and kiss my shoulders as we take in the scene of the pack cheering and howling.

"Welcome to the family." Elliot says as he watches me and Miles.

"Thank you." I reply, he smiles and walks off to the crowd of cheerful wolves.

I then look back and face Miles. "Now, I wanna know something."

Miles smirks and points one eyebrow as he waits for me to continue.

"How did you know I my name is Eloise?"

He chuckles and looks over my shoulder and nods, which makes me look over towards where he stares.

I see Lola look over to us and smiles widely and waves. She soon stops looking as one of the pups grab at her legs, making her pick him up and carry the pup on her hip. From this view Lola looks like a mother taking care of her child, it's a beautiful scene.

I feel Miles put he's hands back over my waist us he leans he's chin on my shoulder. I feel content with everything that is happening. If I could pause time, I would do it right now.

I then feel Miles stiffen as he grips he's hands tighter on my waist. I look over to the crowd and the men start to shift into their wolves as the shewolves protect the pups.

"Rouges. Protect the pups and head back to the pack house." Elliot demands in he's alpha tone.

Everyone goes in a panic as we start to hear the rouges howl. Chills shiver down my spine at the sound, I turn back to Miles to see he's eyes glowing gold.

He then shifts into he's white wolf. He looks back at me and gets down, telling me to get on. I oblige seeing I don't have a choice. Once I get on he's back he turns he's head to me and growls lowly, as if warning me he'll go fast, and so he did.

We speed to the front door of the pack house, he kneels down for me to get off. He then turns to me and whimpers as he puts he's forehead on mine.

I look into he's gold piecing eyes. Just looking into he's eyes tells me he's promising to return to me. I nod my head and smile weakly.

I watch as he runs off and disappears into the trees. I enter the pack house and walk up to our room on the third floor. I close the door gently and lean behind it and slid down.

Something doesn't feel right. I feel like something bad is going to happen in this attack, but I can't tell what it is.
