CHAPTER 8

ELLIOT'S POV

It's Friday and I'm waiting for Ella to get here. Obviously Miles doesn't know about me inviting her, but seeing I'm the Alpha I don't need to run my every decision I make by him.

Sooner or later Ella will be my Beta female. So, it is about time she got into the idea of living at the pack house.

My thoughts were cut off by a knock on the door. I guess she's here.

"Welcome-" I greeted, but stopped half way once I saw who was at the door.

"Nice to see you too, mutt." Lola said as she rolled her eyes, and bumped my shoulder as she made her way into the house.

"I didn't invite you, Kako." I replied as I scoffed at her disrespect.

"Sorry." Ella said as she came into the house. "When I told her where I was going she.."

"Invited herself." I cut in. Ella didn't respond, but nodded her head in 'yes'.

"I should've known this, Kako would've included herself." I explained with an eye roll.

"You keep saying cake-co, but I still don't not what it means." She replied unfazed, as she slumped on the couch watching tv.

I was getting agitated by the second from Lola's company.

That's when I walked up towards her and put her on my shoulder. She struggled and started kicking her feet for me to put her down, I ignored her plead as I walked to the pups and she-wolves area of the pack house.

I opened the door and put her on one of the chairs, a lot of she wolves looked confused as to why I had put a human near their pups and themselves.

'Keep her away from me, until I return.' I mind-linked the she-wolves as I went out of the room, and back to Ella.

"Now, let's begin." I said as I let out of breath of content that the little kako wasn't around.

I then led Ella outside, where the small villages of where the other pack members stay.

I showed her a tour and explained to her some of the things it meant being a Beta female, but also a part of the family. I know her and Miles are taking it slow. But even a half wit would know they weren't going to leave each other. They were mates for goodness sake. Just one look at them and you'll know they were meant to be together, especially from how they acted Monday. I'll never understand how Miles could turn from the dark strong Beta, to the love sick puppy.

I guess I can't judge seeing that I haven't found my mate yet, but I'm not sure if I'm excited for one, seeing how Miles changed so quickly.

"And this." I said as the pups started jumping on my legs. "Are the most evil members of the pack." Most of the pups started arguing, saying they were innocent. But most of the little boy pups started flexing their little arms, saying things like. "Yeahhh." And. "Don't mess with us, we're strong."

Ella just chuckled at the display of so many tiny children showing off in front of her. It made her look more apart of the family then expected.

That's when something hit my nose, something that made my body tense.

'Get the pups out of here, and bring the pack warriors here now.' I mind-linked one of the pack members.

That's when the she-wolves took their pups, while the scene of rouges started coming into our territory.

'Take Ella somewhere safe.' I ordered one of pack warriors.

'Yes, Alpha.' He replied submissive as he went to go retrieve Ella.

I soon shifted in my wolf as I trusted my pack warrior to take Ella somewhere safe.

ELLA'S POV

I saw a pack member come towards me, saying. "Ella, please follow me." I was going to obliged to he's wishes, but my eyes caught the scene of a wild wolf.

He looked like he was going to kill, kill for no reason. But my face grew pale and my hands grew sweaty as I saw one of the pups I met before running towards the wild wolf. Yelling things like. "Don't mess with me, I'm stronngggg."

MILE'S POV

"I can't believe he locked you away, to get baby sited by the she-wolves." I chuckled as I walked side by side with Lola.

'Pack is under attack, we need all warriors out here now!' One of the pack members yelled over the mind-link.

My first thought was Ella. That's when I pushed Lola into the hallway closet, and locked her in as I ran outside to find my mate, and help my brother. I didn't need Lola getting in the way, locking her up was the safest. Even though I heard her scream curses at me as she banged on the closet door.

"Not again." I heard her mumble.

Once I was outside, my eyes caught the attention of a little pup standing he's ground, but what shook my body was Ella running up to him and grabbing him in her hold.

She was now holding him and while covering him from the rouge that was about to pounce on them both.

I ran towards where they were huddled in the middle of the field. I shifted in mid air and pounced on the rouge, jumping over my mate in the air.

I saw her look up top of herself to meet my gaze, as I jumped over her and to the rouge, who dared to harm her and the pup.

I ended up loosing control and killing him like a maniac. But he's death wasn't enough, so turned on my heel and started killing though the whole rouge pack. To say it felt good is an understatement. It felt amazing.

When the attack was over I shifted back, with my clothes in tack. That was one of the perks of being a white wolf, but that's a story for another time.

I ran all the way up to Ella and cupped her cheek as I looked her over to see if she was okay.

That's when my eyes glared deathly at Elliot.

"What the f**k were you thinking." I gritted out as I grabbed him by he's collar and pushed him up against the wall.

"Get of me, Miles." He replied with a bored tone. Did he not care my mate was in danger.

"Your eyes are golden, Miles. Calm down." One of the pack members in formed me as they put their hands on my arm to calm me down. Right now, anyone's touch made me lethal, besides Ella's.

That's when Elliot pushed me off of him as he looked at me and gritted out. "Know your place, beta."

I took a deep breath then turned around, anyone would think I was going to calm down. f**k that.

I turned and punched him in the jaw as I grabbed my mate's arm and led her out to my car.

I opened the passenger door and put her in gently, I then put her seat belt on and walked to my side of the car as I shut her door gently.

We drove in silence all the way to her house.

When we arrived I hoped out and opened her door. She walked side by side with me all the way to her door step.

"Miles, I'm sor-" I cut her off as I grabbed her and held onto her tight in a hug. This is all I needed. I needed her touch, it was the only way to calm down.

ELLA'S POV

We just stood like this for minutes as he inhaled my scent. I couldn't help but enjoy he's embrace. That's something I couldn't deny.

"I'm sorry. You should never have to-" It was my time to cut him off as I grabbed the back of he's neck and kissed him. He took it by surprise but soon enough started kissing me back. It felt amazing.

Once we decided to release for air, he stoked my cheek and leaned he's forehead on mine.

"You're so beautiful." I couldn't help but blush at he's comment, which made him smile widely.

I knew he calmed down now, and I loved knowing I was the reason.

"I better go inside." I replied as I saw my dad in the window, obviously trying to hide, but failing miserably.

"Bye." Miles said as he kissed my cheek and waited for me to go inside before leaving.

I saw my parents give me raised eyebrows as they smiled widely. I could feel my face still flustered, and seeing that they were spying on me from the window, I knew they knew I liked Miles.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled at their big smiles as I made my way to my bedroom up stairs.

I slumped on my bed as I put my fingers on my lips. I didn't know a kiss could feel that way, feel so much want but freedom as well.

I couldn't help but giggle at the thought coming back to my mind of me and Miles.

I was going to go take a nap, but I couldn't help but feel like I was forgetting something.

I sighed and just shrugged the feeling off. Meh, it's probably nothing. I thought as I rolled over and shut my eyes for a much needed rest, especially since after everything that occurred today.

LOLA'S POV

I'm still stuck in the closet. But I trust Ella will come and get me out any minute now. Hopefully.
