CHAPTER 3 LOLA'S POV Once I saw the large wolf I was chasing freely stop. I came to a halt, confused and curious as to why he stopped our chase. But then he turned he's head towards me, gazing at me. Then he started to walk, just a normal casual walk. Me being the adventurous type, I followed the wolf more into the woods. Dangerous? Stupid? You bet. But, it was never boring. Especially when the wolf led me to a house. A large beautiful house. I was confused as to why he led me here, but I was more confused when he stopped. The wolf just stood there, while many other wolves just came visible from the dark. 'Is this the part where I'm going to be eaten?' I thought with a chuckle. I mean death never scared me, but a boring casual death did. If I'm going to die, at least let me die with a great story behind it. And being eaten by wolves fits the genre of my death story perfectly. That's when it happened. The wolf shifted back into a man. A man that looked powerful and respected. My palms grew sweaty and my voice left me. I couldn't scream, I couldn't do anything but just take in everything. That's when I was grabbed forcefully by my arm. "Hey! Let go of me!" I yelled as I tried to get out of this death grip, but failing miserably. That's when I saw Ella standing in front of me, shielding me from these...wolf people? "Stay back!" She yelled, trying to sound scary, but instead sounded as scared as I was feeling. I was angry, they couldn't keep us here cause their secret was out. "Let us go, you can't keep us here because your little mutt secret is out!" I yelled back, frustrated at the whole situation. They didn't say anything but laughed, that's when I heard Ella ask. "What secret?" As she stared at me confused, and curious. But her gaze slid to behind my shoulder as her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped. I followed her gaze, only to see a white wolf shift into a man. Just like this arrogant prick I followed. He just stood there staring at her. Watching her as if he was ready to die for her. Strange. That's when I heard her whisper. "It's you." He didn't reply but nodded he's head. I stepped in the middle of this strange display and put both my hands up. "Is there something I'm missing?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. Then I looked over towards Ella, with a dead serious look as I asked. "Did you know they were wolves, or men that turned into wolves?" Her gaze slid away from the strange man and towards me. "Of course not." She argued back. "Correction, it's not just males that turn into wolves. Little girl." The wolf man I followed said with a smirk. Oh, that prick is loving how in control he is of this f****d up situation. I rolled my eyes at him and scoffed. "Are you saying you're really a woman under all that arrogant display, mutt?" He didn't reply but growled at my disrespect. I just chuckled in response, making him more mad. But I didn't care, not when he won't let us leave. "We should head inside, it's late." The wolf that was staring at Ella explained. "What a great idea." I said in a chirpy tone as I hooked my arm around Ella's and started to walk away, only to be blocked by wolves. "Oh for f**k sakes." I mumbled under my breath as I rolled my eyes. "Maybe we should stay the night." Ella explained as she couldn't keep her eyes away from the strange guy. "Are you joking, because this better be some sick joke Ella!" I argued at her stupid idea. "I'm not going to stay with some strangers I don't even know! Especially when they shift into wolves. Large f*****g wolves, Ella!" My little tantrum was soon cut off by the ass hole that led me here. "I'm Elliot, that's my brother Miles. And this is my home, and you're staying." He said as he pointed over to the guy who was still watching Ella. "See, now weren't strangers." He continued as he walked inside and held the door open for us to go in. I just death glared him as I was shoved into the pack house. Me and Ella was escorted to a guess room. It was beautiful and large, it has a huge bathroom connected, with the most beautiful view. I swear if I wasn't being held here by my will, I would stare in awe at this place. That's when I walked back into the bedroom as I saw Ella lying there staring up the ceiling. "Miles, he's name is Miles." She said as she started to smile widely. I rolled my eyes at her. Was she really this happy over a wolf man? Seriously? "Yeah, we know. He's name is Miles." I scoffed at her, making her sit up and look at me with a questioned look. "What's wrong?" She asked me, looking worried. "What's wrong!?" I yelled back shocked. "Are you seriously asking me what's wrong?" I started pacing up and down the room. "Don't you see where we are Ella? Well let me refresh your memory seeing that it's occupied by Miles." I said with a sarcasm dripping on the word of 'Miles'. "We're in a house filled with people that can turn into beast! And are you forgetting the fact we are held here against our will! But oh, it's all okay, because Miles is here." I said sarcastically, again. "Haven't you heard of stranger danger!? The whole time we were out there Miles was giving you rapey looks!" I then stopped my rant and sat at the end of the bed, taking in a deep breath as I rubbed my temples in frustration. I'm not worried about myself. Like I said, I'm not afraid of dying. Especially by supernatural creatures. What I'm more angry at is that I brought Ella into this. She's my best friend, I don't want her to be in danger. She wasn't like me, she was afraid of death, but right now her judgement was clouded by that werewolf name Miles. I then looked up, only to see a tear fall from Ella's eye's. "You're right." She whispered. She then got up on her feet and stood in front of me, then grabbed my arm. Making me stand up as we headed to the bedroom door. "We have to get out of here." She whispered determined, as she opened the door gently, and walked out with my arm still in her hand as she dragged me with her. 3 am in the morning. You usually see girls walk out of night clubs at this time, not werewolf packs. But we weren't walking out of the house, we were escaping. Who knows what they'll do if they caught us.
