Chapter 2: Traveling

1019 Words
Sandra's POV I settled in a town after 3 hours of running in my wolf form. My wolf was light brown. Her name is Cali. She was my only escape from this world. I put my suitcase on the floor behind a tree and shifted. I instantly got dressed and carried the suitcase behind me. I looked at the hotel that I stopped in front. I will rest for the day until I continue my travel. 'Everything will be fine Sandra.' My wolf said. 'I hope so.' I replied. She stayed quite after that and I didn't mind the calmness. "Welcome to bridge hotel. Do you want a room or a suite?" The lady at the reception asked. "Hello. I want a room please." She smiled at me as she typed something on the computer. "How many nights?" She asked. "Three nights." I smiled at her and she nodded. "Room 56 is available. Here are the keys." She smiled giving me the keys. "It will cost 200 dollars." She said. I took the 200 dollars from my pocket and gave it to her. She thanked me and called someone to help me with my luggage. I was strong and able to take them, but I have to pretended in front of these humans, that I can't. "Here is the room miss." The guy said putting my suitcase in the room after I opened the door with the card. "Thank you." I said giving him tips. My parents weren't rich, but they weren't poor either. I have enough money for a year of travel. I hope that until then I would have found my mate. I settled in my new room. I left my clothes in the suitcase, but took my toilet necessities out and placed them inside the bathroom. I laid on the bed I finally felt tired because of traveling this whole time in my wolf form. Tomorrow I will head in the direction of the Blue Moon pack. I will talk to the alpha king Jacob. He will surely help me in finding my mate. That is the last option for me. I can't go to anymore human towns. This should be my last. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. ********************* I woke up feeling better. The sun was settling down. I felt energized, so I decided to have a tour in this town. The moon walkers pack was 2 hours away. I will avoid it at any cost. That's alpha Serafino's pack. They are all cold hearted and ruthless. Alpha Serafino is a psycho, he loves killing and getting drenched in blood. It gives him satisfaction. His parents died in a rogue fight, just like mine. That's when he started killing the rogues, and it enjoyed it. I shook my head and entered the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and put some make up on. It consisted of mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. I put on a coat since it's cold outside. I masked my wolf scent, because even if I was in a human town, I won't be taking any risk. Yeah, us werewolf don't feel cold, but I can't leave in front of these humans while wearing a crop top. I would we taken to an asylum. I left the hotel and walked in the streets that were busy with people, either running after they are done with their work, or just walking and enjoying the weather. People were smiling and laughing. Couples were kissing and holding hands. I entered a cafe and ordered a cup if coffee. Suddenly the door was opened and a bunch of teenagers entered the cafe. It would have been totally normal, if they didn't smell like werewolves. I sighed in relief remembering I masked my scent. They sat next to me and placed their order. The blonde girl who looked no older than 17 was the first one to speak. "Did you hear? The alpha king visited alpha Serafino. It is said that the alpha king wants to put an end to alpha Serafino's craziness. He has killed more rogues than my head hair number." She said with a horrified look on her face. "He is even worse than the alpha king himself. Alpha Serafino is scary, I hope I never cross his path." The boy sitting next to her said. I hope that too. I will be passing next to his pack territory. It would be awful if we crossed paths. I am not exactly a rogue, but a lone wolf is practically the same. Once my coffee was ready, I thanked to waitress and left the cafe immediately. 'I didn't like how they were talking about alpha Serafino.' Cali snapped. 'He is not our alpha. Therefore I don't care. He made that reputation for himself.' I shrugged but there was a pang in my heart. Damn me and my soft heart. My phone pinged indicating that I got a message. I frowned and opened it. Alpha Christian: I talked to the alpha king. He will welcome you tomorrow dear. I sent a quick thanks and closed the phone. I was still angry with them. Maybe in the future I will forgive them, but not now. Not when I just recently saw my parents brutally killed. I have to leave now then, if I want to reach the royal pack tomorrow. I have no time to lose. I instantly headed back to the hotel and packed my things again and then I went to the reception. "I have to leave today there is an emergency. Thank you for the room." I gave the receptionist the key card. "Oh going so early! Wait let me give you back your money." She said. "No it's find. You can take it." She smiled widely at me and nodded. I smiled back and left the hotel doors. I looked around and walked towards the forest. I should head to the north, that's where the royal pack is. Once I was away from the humans eyes, I shifted and put the suitcase in my mouth and ran.
