"All right, Miss Callie." I sat up and tied my hair into a messy bun. I went inside my bathroom to fix myself. I went downstairs and headed to the dining area. My parents looked at me and they both smiled. I just smiled back because I didn't want to fight with them. "Let's eat," mom said. I sat in front of my mom and started eating. I didn't talk because I had no idea how I'd start the conversation about arranged marriage. "Son, about last night ..." mom trailed. Oh, thank goodness! I looked at her and waited for her to say something. "We're so sorry for not informing you about it before we went there," mom said and gave me an apologetic smile. I sighed and nodded. At least, I wasn't the one who apologized first. "It's fine but I don't want to be married off." "Why not?" dad asked
