I sighed and nodded. It wasn't like I was planning to tell Matt how I feel.
"Regardless of your feelings for Matteo, we're not forcing you into this arranged marriage, Callie," dad said. "We just want you to be acquainted and close to Andres because of family ties."
Mom nodded. "We want you to be connected to people that can help you in case something bad happens."
My forehead creased. "Bad? Like what?"
"Being a politician and being connected to business are both dangerous." Dad sighed. "But don't worry, we'll talk to the Cantabria family about it and be friends with Andres, he can help you with law school."
"Okay," I said and smiled.
That setup is better and Andres was really friendly so it wouldn't be as hard as being in an arranged marriage with him.
