{ FIRST MEETING }
NORA MARTINS P.O.V
Like expected my day started with a very bad news when I was at the restaurant.
Lan called me and told me Lily was rushed to the hospital from school this morning and I felt horrible all day long.
I wanted to go check up on her badly but my boss refused to give me a day off and I decided to go visit her before I go to work tomorrow morning.
"Lan just called me and he said Lily was discharged this evening"Beth said.
I sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness, I was worried"I said.
She smiled. "I understand"
"Since she's been taken back home,I was hoping we could go check up on her to know how's she's doing"She said.
"I would like to but would they let us in considering their status"
I've gone there once and a guard didn't let me in and I went home that day disappointed.
"Have you forgotten that Lan is a friend of ours?, He's coming over to take us there"She giggled throwing her arms over me excitedly.
Like I don't know that she secretly likes him.
I rolled my eyes pushing her away from me annoyingly.
"You like Lan, just admit it"I teased and her cheeks flushed red.
"Even if I did like him it's impossible cuz he has a girlfriend"She said with a sad smile.
So sad.
"Am sorry"I said to her and she shrugged hiding the pain in her eyes.
"It's no big deal, I'll be fine"She replied with a small smile.
Her phone started to ring and Lan's name pooped on the screen.
I grinned at her and she blushed answering the call.
"Hi"She said softly.
"Hey,Am outside waiting for you ladies"He said.
"Okay, we'll be there in a minute"She smiled and hanged up.
We both walked out after changing back to our normal outfits and met lan leaning against the car while pressing his phone.
Probably hearing our footsteps he looked up from his phone and smiled widely staring at us mainly on Beth.
I can tell he likes her too....I just hope both of them admit to their feelings and be together already.
The ride to Lily's house was a long drive and I couldn't help dozing off no matter how hard I tried to stay awake.
I felt a soft tap on my shoulder and my eyes fluttered open only to see Beth staring at me.
"We're here"She whispered softly and my eyes opened widely as I stared at the surroundings.
Is it me or did this place get more beautiful than the last time I came here?
This penthouse is so beautiful.
They were guards standing outside the building with a strong and serious looks.
I got out of the car and Lan led us to a more fancier sight, There was a security scan check and Lan placed his face on it.
Beth and I exchanged exchanged glances watching him curiously.
A robotic voice said his name and the main door opened widely.
Beth and I eyes widened.
What just happened. How wealthy were this people.
We walked in and I couldn't help but gasp out loud looking around.
This living room looks like a palace.
"OMG is that Mr Knights"Beth whispered to me and my eyes followed hers only to see a huge man with his back facing us as he spoke to someone on the phone.
He's terrifyingly broad,built like a viking. The outline of his body is enough to make you all hot and nervous without even seeing his face.
He turned to around and my breath hitched.
His stares at me and froze visibly. His entire body rigid and I felt completely frozen like I couldn't move.
His eyes captured me in a cloud of complete stillness like if either of us moved,we'd break the spell slowly surrounding us.
My entire body began to tingle as warmth radiated from within me,My entire body flushed as he stared at me from my face then down.
He was staring at me like he wants to eat me up.
"I..."I stopped short,my words catching hard in my throat as I met his piecing blue eyes staring down at mine.
"Nora?"
Oh my God. His deep and manly voice is enticing.
How does he even know my name?
Is he Lily's dad?
"I-i d-dont...."I wanted to ask how he knows my name but lost my words instead.
"Am sorry Sir, Do we know each other?"I said, Finally catching my voice.
He said nothing.
That's rude.
Lan steps forward introducing Beth and I and he just hums in response.
I see. He's not much of a talker.
"Nora this is Mr Alex Knights, Lily's dad"Lan said.
Oh my gosh. I was expecting her dad to be old not this hot and handsome.
What is happening to me?
"H-hi s-sir"I smiled shyly.
"Hello Mr knights"Beth waved.
He nods in response.
"We're here to see Lily,I-is s-she alright. Can I see her,I know we shouldn't h..."
Realizing I've been blabbering, I looked up only to find him staring at me with amusement dancing in his eyes.
Great. Now am embarrassed.
"Am sorry"I looked down at my feet.
"Lily never told me you were this..."
"I know, Talkative. Have heard that a lot"I cut him off.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Beth trying to bite back a smile.
"I don't find you to be a talkative but rather I find you quite... Interesting"He stared at me in a way a guy haven't looked at me in my entire life.
I heard Lan cough a little interrupting our staring competition and I looked away with my cheeks flushing red.
"This man is engaged for crying out loud. Stop staring at him."I scolded myself.
"Lan why don't you show Miss Nora and her friend to Lily's room"He said clearing his throat.
"Okay sir"Lan replied.
"I'll be in my office"He stared at me one last time and walked out.
