ALEXANDER KNIGHTS P.O.V
Fuck.

She's even more beautiful in person.
The way she smiled at me made me lose my breath immediately.
I couldn't stop thinking about her as I tried to distract myself in my office.
My head is a mess, I don't know what to do about Lily's sudden illness especially after finding out who did it.
My phone started to ring and I answered it immediately.
"Mr Knights,You guessed it right. He's out of jail."
I ran a hand on my hair frustratingly sighing out loudly.
"Find him. I don't care how you do it but find him"I said coldly and hanged up.
He's back. Not only to kill my daughter but to hurt my family and I wouldn't let that.
Not while am alive.
I won't let him ruin my family again.

NORA MARTINS P.O.V
We walked behind Lan following his steps as he led us to Lily's room.
I couldn't stop thinking about Mr Knights and the way he was staring at me_i wanted to explode out of nervousness.
"You have a lot of explaining to do when we leave"Beth whispered in my ear and I rolled my eyes.
"I have nothing to say"I replied and she scoffed.
"Oh please!, I saw the way you both were staring at each other"She grinned leaning towards me teasingly.
Did she see that?
I ignored her comment and followed Lan into a room only to see Lily lying on the bed asleep looking pale.
My heart quickened as I stared at her in shock.
What the hell happened to her?
"She's alright"Lan assured behind me.
I refuse to believe that she's alright.
"What happened to her?"I couldn't help but ask.
Lan sighed.
"I honestly don't know but the doctor said she was poisoned probably at school"He said.
My eyes widened and couldn't help the tears spilling out of my eyes seeing her in this condition.
I walked towards her and sat on the bed before kissing her forehead.
"Am so sorry princess"I whispered against her head and stood up facing Lan.
"Is she going to be alright?"I asked.
He nodded.
"She will"He assured with a smile.
The door opened and a beautiful lady walked in staring at us weirdly.
She looked around my age or probably a little older than me.
"Good evening Miss"Lan greeted politely.
"Hi"I said with a smile.
"Who are they Lan? Do they work here"She asked staring at me and Beth in disgust.
Wow. She's rude.
"No Miss Tricia,They are here to see Lily"Lan replied.
So she's the one getting married to Mr Knights?
"Why?"She asked.
Why does she ask so much questions?
"Excuse me lady, Do you have a problem with us being here?"Beth said folding her arms in front of her chest staring at her daringly.
Oh no, I don't like where this is heading too.
I held her arm pulling her towards me and smiled apologetically at the lady.
"Am so sorry about that, we'll leave now"
She said nothing.
I pulled Beth out of the door and frowned deeply.
"Ugggh I felt like giving her a tight slap"
Her fists clenched tightly in anger as she paced back and forth at the door.
We heard soft footsteps and turned around to look who it was only to see Mr Knights staring at us with his hands tucked in his sweatpants pocket.
"Your prince charming is here"Beth gushed in my ear.
"Stop, What if he hears you?"I said glaring at her and she rolled her eyes looking away from me.
"Is everything alright ladies?"He asked with his charming voice.
"U-uhhm y-yes sir, C-can I ask for a favor sir?"
Why am I stuttering in front of him?
"Sure"He replied wetting his lips.
"I was wondering if you could like....Inform me when Lily wakes up so I could speak to her,I hope you don't mind"
I bit my lips nervously patiently waiting for his answer.
He brought out his phone and I stared at him confusely.
"Your number Beautiful"He said.
I blushed taking his phone from him and placed my number in it before giving it back to him.
"Are you both leaving already?"
"Yes Mr Knights, Do call when she's awake"Beth answered with a smile.
"I sure will"He replied staring at me one last time before he called Lan to take us back home

THE NEXT MORNING
"Excuse me, Do you need something?"I said politely to a man wearing a hoodie that I couldn't see his face properly.
He looked strange and was just staring around until his eyes landed on me.
"Are you alright sir?"I asked concernly but still he said nothing and just ran out of the Restaurant.
"That was weird"I whispered to myself as I watched him got into a taxi and drove off.
I turned around only to see everyone staring at me probably thinking I sent him away.
I don't understand.
"What happened?"My boss asked staring at me with daring eyes.
I gulped visibly.
"Why did you chase that man away"He asked again.
"I didn't...I"
"You're fired the next time I see you chasing customers away or creating a scene in this place. Is that clear?"He said sternly.
I nodded, almost terrified. Being jobless was not something I could afford at this point of my life.
"Am sorry Sir"I apologized honestly even when I did nothing.
He said nothing and walked back to wherever he came from.
"What happened?"Beth asked as soon as the boss walked away.
I sighed.
"Well...I only went to meet the man and asked he was alright or wanted something but he just ran away like he'd seen a ghost"I Replied.
Having someone to listen to me was very helpful.
"You don't know him?"She asked.
"With his glasses and hoodie,it was difficult to tell but he looked kinda familiar"
"Be careful"She smiled and walked away.
I couldn't shake off the fact about that man that reminded me of someone,I so badly wanna forget.
Who was he and why was he here?
Just as I was about to take another customer's order,I found a piece of paper from where he sat down.
Out of curiosity to know what it was,I picked it up and looked through it.
No matter how you run Nora, I'll keep finding you.
I gasped out loudly.
With shaky hands,I took few steps back and ran into the dressing room ignoring the stares coming from the customers.
