Running Free Luna Legacies

Akira/Blade I was running through the woods, my paws beating the ground as I felt the change happening. It was four days after my 18th birthday an I felt my wolf changing, morphing into my lycan form. My wolf has been in a metamorphosis state the last four days. So I went to my favorite hunting cabin to shift in peace by myself. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating an breathing heavily, I walked outside of my hunting cabin door. Stripping all my clothes off, shifting as I started running with all I had. I couldn’t tell where I was going but I knew I just needed to run. My nose picked up this sweet scent on the air, then my body started shifting into my lycan form for the first time. It wasn’t painful it was just slow, I laid there on the ground, helpless next to a tree with the darkness around me. This sweet scent filling my nose, relaxing my body. Finally, the change was over I sat up bracing myself against the tree. My body felt stronger, bigger, taller, I focused my eyes an looked around me. I was standing on my back legs up right, my chest muscles extended, along with my arms, but they were a human like shape, I had giant hands with long sharp claws on each fingers. My muzzle was thicker along with my head, an my ears pointed high. My fur now a deep mixture of black, brown an white. I was a tri-color like my great grandfather Drake Crimson. I had his sun kissed skin, dark brown an blackish hair, also I’ll soon have the same Alpha colored eyes. Deep dark black with a golden rim once my inner Alpha awakens. My wolf, Blade looked just like his as well. My mother always said it was like, I had been born as my great grandfathers twin had he been still alive. I trained for this shift for months, an it was going very smoothly. I took a deep breath in my snout, an the scent filled my lungs. Making my muscles shir with a need I haven’t felt before, that’s when my wolf Blade spoke to me. He sounded stronger as well, his voice very deep now an commanding. “Akira, OUR mate! She’s close, we must find her. There’s rogues near by! I can smell them! She’s in danger!” I started running, following the sweet scent on the air. It made my senses run crazy. It was hard to focus, all my training over the years couldn’t help me keep myself in check right now. I was going off pure instinct as I finally got close to the scent. I breathed in heavily, my nose flaring out as I looked around. It was very early morning if I had to guess maybe around 1:00 am. I saw an heard this pond not far off to my right, as I scanned the area. That’s when I saw something moving. It was running wildly fast an breathing heavily. I focused my lycan eyes on it an boom! It was clear as a sunny day. Her short, blonde, semi curly hair that was shining around her face in the moon light. Some of it falling from a headband she was wearing. She was fiercely tearing at her skin on her arms, neck an chest. I could smell it, she was shifting for the first time. She looked small, very skinny with long pale legs an arms. If I couldn’t smell her scent so well right now I would’ve thought she was a boy at first sight like this. She had on shorts, pink tank top, and no shoes. She fell to the ground next to the pond an started stripping her clothes off. Her wolf taking control for the first time as she shifted. I tried to turn away, to give her some privacy. I didn’t know who she was, an she looked very young. As I looked away, I could hear her bones breaking under her skin an reforming. She yelled out a few times in pain, I could feel this soft whimpering coming from my chest. “Our mate is in pain, an theirs nothing we can do!” My large hand slammed on the tree next to me, my claws digging into it leaving a mark behind. He’s right! There’s nothing I could do to help her right now. As she rolled around on the ground her body moving in weird ways, till the shift finally finished. I moved out from behind the tree an I slowly walked closer to her. I could feel her wolf calling to mine for comfort. We had both been drawn to each other's shifting. I was almost next to her when I thought I saw a rogue out of the corner of my eye. I stalked closer to her small wolf form. f**k! She was gorgeous, her fur was as white as the moon light. She was nearly glowing when the moon would reflect off her. My mate's a white wolf, their so pure an precious because of there rarity. I saw two rogues stalking closer to us in wolf form now. I bent down an scooped her up. Her soft, small, fragile wolf form in my large bright white claws. I held her closely to my body extremely protectively. Than this deep fearsome vibrating growl came from my chest. And out poured my words, Blade had taken control an I didn’t even realize it. My eyes burning brighter than they ever have before. “She’s mine! She’s my mate! If you touch her. I’ll rip you to shreds an feast on your hearts! I’m the future Alpha of these lands, leave before I change my mind.” Blade said it so smoothly I didn’t correct him. I wanted to mark this she-wolf with every fiber of my being! No one would have her but me!! My lycan was very menacing, an I actually reveled in it. I could feel my confidence an strength radiating off myself. My aura shifting an pushing out around us, from the pride I felt to protect my mate. They held there ground for a moment when I roared out loudly. “LEAVE!” I felt my own body vibrating as my stance got lower holding her close as I screamed out. I’d never sounded so fiercely an cold-hearted before. Like I could eat their souls an would play in their blood like a child plays in a puddle if they harmed a hair on her. They finally turned an ran off. I could feel her small body starting to move in my arms. I placed her back on the ground in between my feet as I stood protectively over her. Scanning the area to make sure they had left for sure. I couldn’t leave her so defenseless. When you have your first shift your emotions are going crazy along with your senses and it's hard for you to even walk sometimes let alone run or fight from the high fever. She opened her wolf eyes for the first time. They were a perfect diamond chocolate with a golden glow. I could see her wolf talking to her for the first time it was all over her face. I looked down at her, my eyes glowing brightly, I could feel they’ve changed now. I could feel the golden rim burning into place in them. My Alpha has finally awakened completely. My body relaxed again, my protective stance changing. I saw the fear on her face. I slowly backed away, an shifted back to my large normal wolf form. I’m sure my lycan was very scary looking. It was hard to keep Blade in check. He wanted to mark our mate right away. But I knew she was still to young, so I playfully rolled over onto my back. An she actually came up to me. I could see her wolf was in control still at times. She nuzzled right up to me. I felt shock waves running throughout my body everytime our fur would touch. We played for a good 30 minutes in the high grass. I was exhausted from my first lycan shift. So I found a nice warm tree an laid next to it. As I was watching her play by the pond. When I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer, I growled out to her calling my mate close. I was surprised she trusted me so much, but I’m sure her wolf told her she was my mate. She nuzzled close to me an curled up. My large body keeping her protected an warm. I pulled her close so I could feel her breathing. That’s when sleep finally took us both over. I finally woke in my wolf form, the warm summer winds floating around us. She was still asleep, I ran back to my hunting cabin an got a blanket. Then brought it back to her along with her clothes she had taken off by the pond. I covered her with the blanket cause I knew when she finally shifted back she’d be naked an I didn’t want her exposed like that. I placed her clothes near by as well, she was so young maybe just turned 15? I think that’s when she-wolfs first turn. I scouted the area so she was safe. I caressed her soft fur with my hand. Then kissed her small head an said. “Soon I’ll come find you again! My Sweet Moon kissed Angel. Stay safe please. It's not time yet.” Then I left her, sleeping soundly under the tree. I felt amazing to have finally found my mate, yet it was still hard leaving her. I knew she was close by, which was good I wouldn’t have to go very far to find her again.
