“It’s usually a tradition that we exchange gifts after dinner at the table,” Jimmy said. “But we wanted you to have this now. You’ll see why when you open it,” Jake added, handing Barry a neatly wrapped flat box. “Thank you. But you shouldn’t have.” Barry would have said he had all he could ever want in Jake and Jimmy, but that was sappy and it would probably set him off crying. They were getting ready to go out to dinner and Barry didn’t want to show up with reddened eyes. He looked down at the box and laughed.
