She fakes a smile for his hard work and he tears apart his canvas. He grabs his hair and pulls from frustration. He wants to become an artist but an artist is only an artist if he can move someone's heart. He places an empty canvas in front of her and she begins to cry. Her tears didn't stop and created an ocean. Others may see it as a blank canvas, but to the writer, it was a symbol that he has given up. They met as creators but they created a tragedy for their ending. Arthur wonders around during the late night and came upon a girl talking to herself. He wonders if she's okay and walks closer to her. He hears the silent cries she lets out and approaches her. She freaks but he calmly explains to her why he is there. Arthur is an artist. He had trouble painting and thought maybe the night would inspire him. He cares for animals dearly but never understands humans and therefore, hates humans. He however, had a soft spot for tears. She laughs it away. "I'm just acting," she says. Her name is Merlin. She is a writer that creates magic with her words. She acts the scenes in her story to experience it and write about every little detail she gets. One encounter and her stories changed, his art begin to form. They laugh and roll around in bed. The two wrap each other with love and then, she had a choice. Arthur opened himself to her. He openly expressed his love and his thoughts. He told her everything from his eyes to his toes. Arthur tells Merlin of his harsh journey with depression. He fought his way through. Merlin could've opened up to him but she hesitated. She told him pieces but not all. It was a puzzle to Arthur to find out what is really happening with Merlin. He tries to help her but she backs away. All her problems and scars were too much for her to tell. She wrote a poem expressing everything to him and he couldn't understand. How sad the poem was he could tell, but he was unable to solve the meaning behind it. Merlin gave up and pretended to be happy. She woke up one day and find Arthur on the floor of his art room. She helps him up and finds a scar in his heart. She heals his scar and helps him to his room. As days pass by, she notices his depression creeping up on him. Merlin tries to find a way to help Arthur but she didn't know how. How could she when she can't cure herself? Merlin tries her best to help Arthur and he slowly regains his motivation and joy. He begins to paint and while Merlin writes. The worst possible thing you could do to a writer is read their drafts behind their backs. While Merlin slept, Arthur opened her laptop and begin to read her draft. He became furious. She's writing of him and her. What drove him mad was the fact that she was unwilling to tell her sadness to him but instead she was willing to share it to the whole world. In the morning, Merlin wakes and finds her alone in bed. She walks to the art room and find a canvas of anger. For the first time, the canvas is speaking to her. It's yelling at her in anger. Arthur walks up to Merlin and hugs her from behind. He kisses her neck and whisper sweet words to her. His hands travel and to her stomach and down to her thighs. She push him away and there are tears in his eyes. Last night before Merlin slept, she scarred herself. While Arthur was trying to create a masterpiece to sell, Merlin wept in the bathroom. Merlin points to the canvas of anger and smiles. "You're getting there," she tells him. "Do you now know what makes art?" To Arthur, art is a way to show creativity and sell it for money. To Merlin, it meant expressing oneself and tugging the heart of others who look at it. Art is a one picture story that tells many stories but all end the same. Art is an emotion trapped inside the canvas that speaks to whomever is looking at it. Art is the creator. He push her out of the room and takes her to the kitchen where he treated her scars. She watch him silently and he once he's done, he walks to the artroom and stayed there the rest of the day. Merlin walks to the bedroom and lay in bed. She hugs Arthur's pillow and after a few hours of thinking, she decided to finish her draft. She opens her laptop and begin to write. She finishes her story and then prints out a copy. She folds it up and puts it in an envelope. "To my dearest," she writes down. "From me, Merlin." She finished her draft and it only meant one thing, she has decided an ending for their love. It has ended. Arthur looks at the blank canvas and then paints it white. He walks over to Merlin and hands her the canvas as she hands him her finished draft. They exchange endings and find out that they have the same ending for one another, a tragedy.
