Jim accidentally tripped on a stone beside the river. He fell down and rolled towards the river.
"Jim!" everyone shouted.
"Brother, help!" He could not swim, and the water flowed towards the falls.
Devan ran so fast to match the speed of the river flow. Jim is being carried away to the falls.
"Brother!" he cried. "H-help!" Gulping and breathing hard, he managed to hold on to a driftwood.
"Jim!" He stopped running and raised his hand. He lifted Jim from the water without hesitation using his wind power. The young kid flew towards him. He caught him at the right timing before falling to the ground. "Jim, are you okay?"
The kid coughed continuously because he drank too much water.
Everyone around them clapped. Their neighbors witnessed his bravery and exceptional elemental magic control.
"Jim! Devan!" Klei rushed to them. "What happened?"
"Jim accidentally fell into the river. Devan saved him using his power!" one of the older female neigbors replied. "You have a talented, brave son, Klei!"
"Thank goodness." He hugged Jim. "Thank you for saving your brother, Devan."
"I was worried I didn't even think of what I was doing, father." He raised both his hands. "I have wind power? I didn't know."
"Your mother is also a wind element mage." He stroked Devan's hair. "Let's go home and dry Jim up. He might get sick of the cold." He carried Jim while Devan followed them. Their neighbors were still clapping and whispering because of amazement.
"We have a genius from our village!" one of the women said.
