Citrus Aihara Yuzu and Mei Story Collections

It's been days or perhaps weeks that Mei decided to fulfill her duty as the heir of the Aihara Academy, engaged in an arrange marriage by her grandfather to the Udagawa family. She did her every will to try and forget the blonde who used to change her life in a short span of time. Ignoring her feelings of how she misses her so much that it breaks her heart just seeing Yuzu far away that she can't reach. However, she can bare being away from the girl but losing her? She knows that it's worst than anything else. A few days ago... Mei was torturing herself to do more paper works just so she won't met Yuzu. She moved herself to other section so that she won't be with her. Avoiding the blonde at all cause. Fleeting away after she left a letter was the most coward and stupid thing she ever did in her life. But she has to choose between the two. The weight of becoming the next successor was merely stand as repayment for what her grandfather did to take care of her through the years when her father decided to choose the path he chosen, not by what his father wanted him to be. Sure at first Mei was obligated to follow her father's steps in becoming an Aihara heir but the father she admired all those years was no longer the father she met almost a year ago. Her life changes when she met the delinquent of a step-sister of hers. The idea of having Yuzu as her distraction and annoyance turned into something she never felt before. And now how she regretted to leave the blonde knowing that Yuzu doesn't deserve what she did. She was taken back to reality when Harumi Taniguchi burst through the Student Council's office door. "PREZ!" Said by the brunette who is catching up her breath. "What is it, Taniguchi-san? Aren't you and Aihara-san went home?" Asked by the Student President. "Something happened, it's Yuzu." Mei yelling at the limp body of the blonde in her arms who saved her. Eyes widen letting the tears to flood in, realizing that despite of everything that happened. Yuzu will always be that person who has an open heart. That what's annoyed Mei the most yet that what's make her fell in love more to Yuzu who is now battling with life and death. Mei knows that she has to call for help but she can't find her voice. Crying silently that she might lost Yuzu because of how selfish she was and how cruel to put the other woman in a situation such as that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harumi and Yuzu are patiently waiting to cross the road. Harumi was occupied with her phone when a familiar feminine voice shouted her name, "HARUMIN!!" The brunette widen her eyes as the scene unfold in front of her, a dark van with several masked figures holding a struggling blonde to get her inside the vehicle. Harumi tried to hold her friend's hand when another masked figured kick her leg, making her to out balance as the masked figures successfully push Yuzu inside and the van immediately rushed through the red light. In Harumi's horror, she has no choice but to let someone know. And she has no choice but to tell the one person who may no longer has to do anything anymore with the blonde. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After Mei let her step-mother and grandfather know the situation, everyone are on the move. Her grandfather alert the police station about a k********g and who might held Yuzu hostage when a telephone rings, making everyone inside the Aihara's living room anxious. Luckily they just got in touch with the detectives in charge with the case, silently telling them to answer the call and that they can connect the caller's line to find the coordinates to pinpoint their location. Mei keeping her demeanors in order to avoid her anger went awry, anxiety and worry etched all over her face. The caller wants a deal of five million yen in exchange of Yuzu, telling them that let Mei bring the money to the place the caller ordered them to go. It was a tough decision but to Mei she rather choose to do as ordered in able to save Yuzu. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I see you followed my orders. I know you are so diligent to do as what you are told." A male voice heard across the empty floor inside the abandoned school in Kyoto. Mei was standing not to far from the man with the bag containing the dealt money in her hand. "I have what you need, just let Yuzu go." Staring the still hiding in the shadows man with a blank expression. "Oh come on, where's the fun in that. Also you don't seem to be too worried of what might happened to Yuzu-san, aren't you Mei-san? Amemiya said smugly. Mei widen her eyes as who was the person they dealt with. The man she despite so much, internally grateful that Yuzu save her from marrying the man. "You know, I don't want to do this. But after what that b***h did, I have no choice. But seeing you standing there, with a blank expression tells me that you don't care about her. I mean who would try to deal with her right? Destroying my life and getting in my way. Pathetic. I should be living a royal life right now if it weren't that blonde." Amemiya spat. Mei keeps her demeanors not giving in to all the stupid things the man was telling her. "Now that I think of it again, you do care for her. I mean, I can see aside that I ordered your family to let you met me here proven that you care. Let's makes things a lot more interesting." The man prepares the trigger of the gun his holding, pointing it at Mei who all of the sudden freeze as the realization hits her. "I wonder if how the academy continues after you die. Its obviously that Yuzu-san won't do as greater as you did in order to maintain the school standing. Pity though, that I have to kill a beautiful and obedient young woman in order to take revenge against a certain blonde. Don't worry, I'll make sure to make your family live in hell." Readying his aim and pulls the trigger, Mei didn't know what to do. Unable to move from where she stand and heard a 'bang'. She closes her eyes to prepare from the pain when a familiar voice shouted and shield herself to the dark haired girl, catching the bullet herself. "NO!" Yuzu run towards Mei to save her. As she hugs the frozen body of the dark haired girl, she yelps from the sudden impact of a bullet through her back. She felt lightheaded and her arms clinging to the other woman's body protectively went limp, her legs gave up while Mei slowly lay her down on her lap. Purple eyes teared up staring at the labored breathing of the blonde eyes are tightly close. "Yuzu? Yuzu!" Mei gently slapped the blonde's cheeks in able to keep her awake. Anxiously waiting, a pair of emerald eyes stared back. Now crying, Mei caress Yuzu's cheeks as Yuzu smiled painfully at her. "Me-i." Yuzu keeps staring at the only woman she thought she would never see again. "You're safe..... now *inhale sharply then coughed furiously.*" thin sheets of sweat visible on the blonde's forehead, Mei tearfully squeeze Yuzu gently in able to make her stay awake. "Yuzu? Yuzu! No. No, come on wake up!" Mei yelled at the limp body of the blonde in her arms who saved her. Yuzu slowly losing her consciousness, she has to at least see her lover one last time knowing she won't make it. Yuzu put on a brave face even though she also wanted to cry. She misses the dark haired so much, and was sad that it has to end this way. She was always dreaming about having a perfect kind of relationship like meeting someone to be her knight in shining armor, to go out with several dates and maybe marrying him. How Mei changes that when she stole her first kiss and things gone disaster but in a good way after that. Yuzu for the last time, smiled- a warm hearted smile that Mei always found as her stress relief but hides it to herself. Those emerald beauty gems are slowly closing and Mei tried again to keep her awake. 'I'm sorry, Mei.' The lost and anxious face of the woman she fell in love so much was the last thing she ever saw as darkness succumb her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Endless void of white, that's what she is seeing in front of her. Confused as she keeps walking to the whiteness that made her heart pounding. "Yuzuko?" A gentle male voice call upon the surprise blonde. "Papa?" Yuzu keeps her eyes to wander in hopes to see the person she misses the most after all those years. "Yuzuko, looked how grown you are. My baby girl is now big." Her father's voice was clearly heard behind her so she turn around to see her father. "Papa!" Leaping herself to tackle the man, while her father hugs her back squeezing her a little. "I see that you copied my hair. *smiles*" Mr. Okogi said. "You never let me inherit yours, beside it suits me. *smiling wolfishly*" answered by the blonde. "Yuzuko, as much as I want to see you again. And hopefully we can go anywhere, you are not ready." A sad frown visible to the man's face looking at his daughter. "What do you mean papa? I am here now with you." Yuzu beamed. "You are not yet ready to die. You can't leave your mother alone, and I know someone else is waiting for you." Smiling at his wide eyes daughter. "Yuzuko, I miss you so much but your mother needs you. I need you to take care of her. So please, go back." With a pleading and sad smile, her father tries to help his daughter by pushing her gently. "Will I ever see you again? Will you keep guiding me?" Yuzu keeps asking her father as she was being pushed to the edge. "Of course, just remember I am here in your heart. *smiles* Come on, you have to go back." As one last push, the father and daughter shared warm smiles before a light shone brightly making Yuzu temporarily blind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Her eyes adjusted to her surroundings seeing all white again but this time its enough space and not the endless one she saw not too long ago. As she wanders her eyes, she saw a river of black locks sleeping beside her bed. Arms as her pillow while her left hand holding her right hand. She smiles as she keeps staring at the sleeping girl. 'I'm back. *giggles internally* At least knowing that Mei is safe now, I'm still anxious whether she still continues her marriage.' She moves a little as her position makes her uncomfortable that cause the other girl to stirred from her sleep. Rubbing her eyes and adjusting her sight, seeing the blonde awake makes her heart beats loudly. "Yuzu?" Smiling to see those emerald gems once again, she gently hugs the blonde letting the fresh tears to flood in. "You're okay." Sobbing as she keeps hugging Yuzu but not squeezing her. She heard that the other woman chuckles quietly. "I was going to say that." Yuzu said. Mei disentangled herself but still holding the woman's hands with hers. "You. *stares in a stern looked* Stop being an i***t. You always act without thinking, putting others to worry and scaring me to death." Mei lightly shouted to the wide eyes blonde, while she keeps staring. She was startled when the blonde laughs warmheartedly. "That's where I'm good at. But, aren't I'm your i***t?" She grins. Mei wanted to push the blonde off the bed while she blushes. Her cheeks and ears are visible red from the smooth flirting from the blonde. She's a little annoyed but she won't lie that she doesn't like it. "Stop wasting your life for others, Yuzu." She said in a low voice. "Aww, Mei. Does it means you still care for me? I mean, I can't just let those I love suffer or die. And I will do it again if that means I have to keep you safe." In a warm tone, Yuzu smiling at Mei. She knows it though, that Yuzu will do everything because that's where she's good at. Giving her best to anything that comes to her mind. Will always care for others even she has to set aside her own well-being. "Mei? I know that you told me that I should be happy. To cherished every moment with the people I care for. But how can I be happy, if you are not. I know it will be bold of me to say this but, Mei *she stares intensely to show that she's serious* please marry me." Yuzu takes off the ring that was in a necklace around Mei's neck. Holding the ring in front of them to point out that she will do everything just to be with the dark haired girl no matter what happen. If she has to battle life and death again, if she has to save Mei again. She will never give up on her, not now. Not ever. She patiently waits for the other woman to say something, keeping her smile as loving and caring. Mei doesn't know what to do, sure she still has to discuss things with her grandfather. But she has to choose again, and she makes sure that this time she will choose Yuzu. Another fresh tears flood in as she nods. "Yes." Both smiling to each other, Yuzu slip the ring to where it really belongs. She moves a little so that she can reach and kiss Mei on the lips. But seeing her struggling, Mei moves to met Yuzu halfway to avoid discomfort for the blonde. Content as they sealed their love with a passionate kiss. The door burst to open that startled the engage couple, people piling up to see that the blonde is awake. All of them pause and as if they are caught red handed, Yuzu was beaming in a dark red blush while Mei tries to hide her plastered face. "Oops. Sorry! Hehe, we ah will return later. Just continue whatever you are doing." Harumi along with Himeko. And some other people outside like Yuzu's mother and Mei's father blushes and leave them to give some space. As the door closes, Yuzu can't help but burst into laughter filling the room. Mei looked at her in disbelief that Yuzu find it amusing of what just happened. "You think this is funny?" Mei said in an annoyed tone. "Sorry, Mei. It just, their reactions are hilarious." Wiping some happy tears and settling down her laughter, she puts her right hand to Mei's left to admire the ring. "I will buy you a better one. Well after I can get out of this place." Yuzu said. "This is already fine, Yuzu. Isn't this was the reason you did a secret part time job behind my back. " the cold Student President smirked to see the blush across the delinquent's face. "Come here." Not waiting, Mei kisses Yuzu again and felt that the blonde melt under the kiss.
