Callies POV;

I was standing over in the corner checking my phone for any new notifications, i heard that there was about a dozen wolves coming into our territory today from New York, they are from the snow moon pack, i was excited an terrified at the same time, i still haven't found my second chance mate, i know there's a possibility i may never find one but it would be nice to have a man around for Ben, i was also scared what if this is the pack my ex-mate is from? i know he ended up going back to the pack-slut after she assaulted me, although they were both banished from the pack they were in for breaking the laws but i didn't like the idea of killing them, id rather let them suffer with being rogues of whatever they are now. i was about to go on my break when i received a mind-link from Theia "Callie, i am about to walk in with someone, can you serve me please? don't act like you an i are best friends for 5 minutes please, ill explain as soon as i can just don't make it a big deal please!"   she said to me" Uh okay girl, but im not covering for you with the rent's if you skipping school okay! plus you owe me 1 day of babysitting!" i replied back to her, i would cover for her no matter what shes my best friend but she doesn't need to know that  "Yeah sure, whatever you want just act like normal for once please!" i was curious to know who she was with an why she was at school but she said she would tell me after just as i was about to reply i heard the bell on the door so i put my phone down an headed out to the counter an that's when i saw them, Theia an the guy she was with, they were holding hands an she looked nervous as hell, she walked up to the counter an let go of his hand as she did, he looked at her hand an looked somewhat upset, "Hey Callie, can I please grab my usual? And what would you like?” She turned to ask the guy next to her “Oh! Uh… can I just grab an Iced Coffee with no cream please?” he asked me, i input both orders into the computer  Theia Turned back to the guy she was with "Do you  wanna take a seat over there an ill be there once our drinks are ready?" she pointed to a seat over in the corner near the front window, he looked towards the table she as pointing at an he looked back at her an smiled "yeah i can do that for you baby" he replied giving her a kiss on her cheek which made me giggle i tried to hide it but Theia has never dated guys before or shown any form of affection she always said she was waiting for her mate, then after my accident she said she never wants a mate if that's how they can be. The guy she was with walked off towards the table she pointed to an she turned to face me. 

“Who is that Hunky babe, Girl! He’s got a nice ass too! Mmhmm, he looks delicious!” Callie said to me as soon as I turned around, rolling my eyes as her comment, Sab was growing at her comment “No, He is our mate don’t look!!!” She said in My head “His name is Atticus, he’s new to town an well, he’s my mate” I said that last park quietly hoping no one would hear, Callie just looked at me shocked while she was making my coffee, “Hold Up! he is your mate? Man, why couldn’t he be mine that dude is sexy as heck! “Sab Growled again at Callies comment “Okay Chill girl, I won’t go near him, he’s your mate! I’m just jealous that’s all” Callie replied, “I don’t even know what to say to him, I’m not ready for a mate, I still have so many things I want to do before I am tied down” I said. I stood there for a while longer talking to Callie while she made our drinks “here you go girl, Look don’t stress to much about it okay, you never know he might not be ready for all that stuff anyway” Callie said to me as she was handing me our drinks, “Thank you, I won’t hold out hope for that you know what most Guys are like once they find their mate! But I Appreciate your hopeful enthusiasm, ill message you after okay, bye” I said to her as I walked over to the table where Atticus was waiting for me with a smile, I set his drink down in front of him and sat in the chair across from him.  

We sat there in silence for a bit before I got the courage to talk to him “So if your new to town, where are you from originally? What brings you here?” I asked him, which must have shocked him as he looked up at me abruptly “Oh uh, I'm not sure where you would say I'm from originally, we have a pack house back in New York but we aren’t there much, my dad is the pack house architect my mum is the interior designer so we travel around the globe upgrading pack houses, we’ve just got a contract to update the pack house out of town a bit, called the crescent moon pack, do you know it?” he asked I was a bit shocked to hear that his parents were to ones doing it because that means he’s an Alpha too, but that also means I will be seeing him for a while because dad said it might take up to 6 months to have done. “Yeah, actually I do, my parents are the Alpha and Luna of the pack an I’m training to take over when I turn 21” I responded hoping that he gets the hint that I won’t just up and leave my pack for his “Oh Nice! Guess I will have a good excuse to see you outside of school then Haha” he replied. We sat are the café for what seemed like hours just talking an getting to know each other an our likes an dislikes, Callie’s shift had ended an she had left to go home an then my phone started ringing and when I picked it up an saw the caller ID I freaked, my dad was calling me, “CRAP!” Atticus looked at me with a curious look at my sudden outburst “I forgot to message my dad an let him know that I had left school and what had happened, he knows I’m usually home for lunch with him for alpha training, I completely forgot about it” I got up an walked outside so Atticus wouldn’t hear my phone call before picking up my phone. “Hey dad, sorry I forgot to message you I won’t be able to make it today I’m having lunch with Callie” I said as I picked up my phone “Oh really? Damn I was really hoping that the reason you missed our lunch date had something to do with the fact you met your mate this morning at school” Dad said to me, I just rolled my eyes at the hopefulness that it hadn’t gotten back to him yet but that was silly to think it wouldn’t I mean the whole class saw it, an I knew I was the talk of the school I've been getting so many messages from all my friends about it. “Oh Crap, Mrs. Tate already call you, did she?” I said “Yeah, she called hours ago I thought for sure by now you would have brought him home to meet me and your mother, what gives? Why you trying to hide it? He didn’t reject you, did he? Am I going to go on a man hunt?” Dad said back to me, slowly getting crankier with each question. “Sorry dad, we are just at the café getting to know each other ill bring him home now okay” I sighed, it was silly that I thought I could fly this under the radar from them. “Yes, that would be lovely Princess, but we currently have other visitors that arrived a bit earlier than expected, you remember how I told you about the Alpha and Luna from the New York pack called The Lake view pack, which is why I am ringing you, because you will be taking over as alpha in 3 years, I figured you could redesign the alpha quarters now so Luna Kate wants to chat to you about it” dad said back to me, “Yeah sure dad, Ill head home now, see you in 20 mins, love you” “Love you too princess” I hung up and headed back into the café to let Atticus know what was going on.
