CHAPTER SIX

Javice was as hyped as the party as every other party animal around him was and he hoped that the shy amber eyed blesses him with her presence today even if he had not seen her all week but seen her boyfriend with a particular female in their class, 'what guts he has to cheat on a pure soul' he thought.

Like a dream, his prayer was answered though with the presence of the boyfriend too and just seeing her looking radiant made him smile to himself in the presence of his new acquaintances, seeing the boyfriend talking freely with the side chick made him angry at amber eyes taking his s**t too but what surprised him further was how the boyfriend held firmly to her hand even when in a conversation with his 'mistress' and how though amber eyes seemed somewhat comfortable around the guy, she looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but at the party.

'Bro, don't let Dylan catch you showing interest in her like that bro, he'd beat your ass up' brought him out of his obviously noticed long stare. Looking at the drunk guy in front of him, 'what?', Javice asked him.

'The girl you're staring out is off limits to everyone' the drunken guy repeated.

'You know her or something?' Jave asked and got a laugh from the guy.

'Of course, everyone here knows Dylan's twin sister bro' and this new information made Jave dumbfounded

'They're twins?' he asked again.

'Yes bro but she's so shy and cute and only talks to him' the drunken guy informed but went ahead to spill interesting information.

'She's always being shy but she in high school still attempted conversations with people but something happened that nobody knows off, threw her off the radar for few months and she came back extra careful of people in general except family of course' and this new bit made Jave more interested in her till the guy added a warning.

'If you try to move close to her and Dylan sees she's not cool with you. Just withdraw then and there or you'll get your ass beat' the drunk guy said and this made Jave laughed, rating the twin's fighting skills, he would be knocked out in 5minutes and Jave did not want to even fight his woman's brother but get to know them both understanding that his permission would mean a lot to their relationship.

'You know her name?', he finally asked the informant.

'Duhh, of course I do, its Amber' he replied and all Jave could think was ‘hell yes just like her beautiful eyes.’

Moving to get himself water at the party, he realized that Dylan was walking towards him with his twin in tow looking like an angel and he decided to take his sweet time at the water stand.

'Just when you're done with the water come get me' Dylan said to Amber who couldn't help but pull him back with a 'you better be waiting' response to which he crossed his heart earning a grin from her.

'The water won't come itself you know, you have to actually go to it' this comment directed at Amber made her freeze in place.

With no response whatsoever, she went about her business and was about to go meet her twin when a face popped right in front of her, it was the grey eyed Greek god and this made her halt her steps.

'Hmmm, hmmm?' was all she could muster and this brought a laugh of of Jave which in turn made Amber embarrassed to which she hid her face.

'I'm sorry Princess, I didn't mean to embarrass you' said Jave and this he noticed the anger that flash through her eyes, she doesn't like it when people call her princess then he noted and just on queue, she said 'don't call me princess please'

'Okay then, I apologize; nice meeting you again and again, I'm Javice and please call me whatever you please', his introduction brought a smile onto her face and she responded 'my name's Amber, call be anything but Princess' and with this they started talking.

Dylan was surprised his twin sister was having a conversation with a guy that looked like he dropped out of vogue magazine. That asides, he was super proud of her attempt to even make conversations at the party and when he saw how much she seemed vested in the conversation and how the guy threw his head back once a while to laugh at whatever she was saying, he decided to just stay back and watch her from afar while enjoying the party with his own girlfriend too.

Javice couldn't believe he was finally having a conversation with this woman and what surprised him more was though she was shy quite alright, she could hold a pleasant conversation. After apologizing for insulting her on their first meeting and her accepting, they've talked about almost everything and anything ranging from rating other party attendants outfit on a scale of cool to hideous and also guessing peoples names. He couldn't argue with himself that the conversation he was having with her was outright fun and he wanted more of that, with this thought in mind, they exchanged their numbers and she went in search of her brother with the help of Javice.

'So, you enjoyed the party?' Dylan asked on their way home and with a slight nod from her, he blared his horns excitedly.

'I knew you could also have fun at parties sister' he declared and with a laugh from her, the twins continued on their journey home.

'Would you like to have some fun today, same place?' the lady back at the club had texted Javice as soon as he left the party, with a sigh and disinterest, he blocked and deleted her number from his phone.

'Now that I finally talked to my woman, no more side chicks' he declared to himself while smiling like a kid on sugar rush.

After checking up on his siblings and making plans for the weekend at the gym with his coach, he went into his room, stripped himself naked in front of the mirror and stared at his scars thinking Amber wouldn't like these scars would she?

Shaking himself off that train of thought, he picked up his joggers and covered up himself with a singlet vest. Falling on his bed, he couldn't get his mind off how at intervals during their conversation, Amber looked towards her brother's direction for some sort of assurance or something. 'What is that mean' he thought remembering how the drunk guy had also told him she went off the radar for a while.

Everyone has their secrets he concluded and with that fell into slumber.

'What do you mean you lost your spray Bliss?' Jave yelled over the phone and with much stuttering and stammering from his sister, he decided to tune his voice down.

'You know how important it is to always carry that spray Bliss, you know what call Marcus and let him know you can't leave the house, I'm sure he'll get to you as soon as he can' he finalized

'But Jave, we need to go to school like now' Bliss said

'What would you have me do Bliss, you know how important it is to not lose it, what if on your way out you get attacked by the parents, then what? Youre just going to watch them abuse you?' he shouted again.

Listening to his sister sniffling, he said 'skip school, I'll inform Marcus to get you another spray, you lose it again, you don't call me, understood?'he said and with a yes mumbled by the sister, he dropped the call.

Javice had a good night, one of few but he was also expecting to have a nice day until his sister's panic call woke him, knowing she was unsafe right now kept him tossing in his bed. Putting a call through to his best friend, Javice wondered what he would do without having help and support from Marcus, their bond is almost unbreakable like that he had with his brother. With Marcus putting his mind at rest, he redialled Bliss number

'You guys have food in the safe to eat before Marcus gets there?' he asked because no matter how mad he was at her, he couldn't bear to lose another sibling to hunger.

'Yes, Louis already took cereal and I have snacks here' she replied and added 'I'm sorry Jave, I didn't mean to lose it.' Telling her it was okay, he dropped the call while preparing for the gym, it's going to be a long day he thought.
