**“Flowers, forests, rivers, trees, mountains, that girl, and the little child…”**

There were flowers, forests, rivers, trees, and mountains. In the middle of that beautiful place lived a girl and her mother. Their small house was deep inside the forest. The girl had no one else in her life. Only nature was there to support her and understand her.

Birds and butterflies would fly around happily. She would sit on top of the mountain and watch them, enjoying the beauty of nature. She had no other friends. Nature itself was her only friend, and that beautiful place was her whole world.

Every morning when she woke up, she would quickly pick up her small basket and run towards the flower garden on the mountain. She would spend her time there among the flowers and trees.

In the evening, she would return home. Her grandmother would prepare food with love just for her and keep it ready. After eating, she would again run outside to enjoy the nature around her.

One day, the girl had to leave the forest. For her education, her mother insisted that she go outside the forest and study. So she said goodbye to the forest and the small village she loved. She went to the city to continue her studies.

After six years, she finally returned.

---

In the school where she studied, there were many mischievous children. They often disturbed and teased her. While the teacher was teaching in class, she would quietly look out through the window and think about something again and again — that beautiful place in the forest and her grandmother.

She always wished she could go back there. But she had to accept her mother’s decision. Even though there were many students in the class, she never considered them her friends.

Her real friends were the flowers, the river, the forest, the dragonflies, and the little birds.

After coming to the city, she slowly began to feel that she was completely alone. In the classroom she rarely spoke to anyone.

One day, she finally found a friend in her class. She told him about her life in the forest. He listened silently without saying anything. It was the first time he had ever heard a story like that. Because of that, he felt something strange. He started thinking that maybe she was crazy.

He thought that there was no point in talking to a girl who spoke about such unusual things. After that, he stopped talking to her.

She understood that too.

She said to herself,

“Just like the birds in the forest understand me, humans never understand me.”

After that, when she returned home from school, she stopped coming out of her room. She took her diary and started writing her stories. She believed that people would never understand her love for nature.

Time passed.

Days, weeks, and months went by.

She spoke to her parents about how much she wanted to go back to the forest. But her mother said she could not go back there. She insisted again and again. Soft tears, sweet like flower petals, slowly fell from her eyes.

She finally understood that her parents would never send her back to her grandmother.

But still, she kept asking.

Her grandmother was still living in that small village. Sometimes she received letters from her grandmother. Every time she read them, her longing to return grew stronger. She kept telling herself that one day she would return there.

Whenever she read those letters, her heart would fill with pain. The small village where she was born and raised always stayed in her mind. The most beautiful memories of her life were there — the flower garden and the mountain.

Lying in that flower garden and looking at the sky was one of the happiest feelings in the world.

No one could understand that.

Eight months passed.

Then a sad news arrived — her grandmother had left this world.

She saw her grandmother for the last time. She did not cry loudly. She kept her sorrow inside her heart and continued living.

Her grandmother was everything to her. She remembered every loving word her grandmother had spoken. Holding those memories in her heart, she continued living each moment.

Six years passed.

She completed her studies and became an adult.

Then the girl returned to her grandmother’s old house.

What she saw there was heartbreaking.

The mountain was still there. But the old flower garden, the trees, and the river were gone. Everything had changed. All the trees had been cut down. The flowers had disappeared.

Nature had died.

Many people were living there now. They had taken away the beauty of the forest. The trees, which were the true beauty of the forest, had been cut down.

In her heart she said,

“These are not humans… they are cruel people. The forest that lived for me has been destroyed.”

She looked up at the sky and said,

“Nature is better than humans. No one understood its beauty.”

Some humans are like that - it's hard for anyone to understand them, and they don't think about it either. We should learn to love and understand nature. We shouldn't cut down trees. There's nothing more beautiful than nature in this world. So, we shouldn't do anything against nature. The lesson we can take from this story is that we shouldn't do anything against nature.
