Prologue

***Ivy’s POV***

We have been in New Zealand for a week now and still haven't found anything on the diamond blade. We have been to so many places to look for it and I am starting to loss hope that it isn’t here. Alpha Rawiri is showing us another location today and I pray to the Moon Goddess that we find it. We have been in contact with Carter and Charlie to see how they were going and if any more shadow demons were spotted. Charlie had motioned that there had been a few sittings of the demons, but dad was able to take care of them before anyone got hurt. He put some new protection symbols around the Pack and Charlie had organized to set up some security cameras 3 kilometers from the Pack entrance to keep an eye on who was coming and going. My visions have gotten worse. I was having 3 visions per day now, and they were always the same, never changing, which made me nervous. We needed to find this blade before it was too late. Today we are going to the Aranui caves. It is 12 kilometers from the Pack. It is said that its mother nature's cave and that there is a special place where shifters can go to and pray to the Moon Goddess. I am hoping that when I enter the cave a door or something will open, allowing me to enter the sacred place of the cave. As Tobias and I were packing for the trip, there was a knock on our bedroom door. Tobias walks over and opens it. I heard him gasp and start to chuckle.

“What the hell are you doing here?” He sounds excited. I walked up behind him to see who he was talking to. When he steps to the side for me to see who it was, I saw Rachelle smiling back at me. I squeal and wrap her in a tight hug.

“What are you doing here?” I asked her as I squeezed the life out of her.

“I asked Nick if I could come and help you search for the Blade. Brittney called and said that you needed my help. He wasn’t too thrilled with the idea, but when I suggested he come to, well let's just say it wasn’t hard to convince him.” She chuckles and looks down the hall. I pulled away from her and followed her gaze. I started laughing when I saw Nick sitting on the couch scowling at Rachelle with Oliver asleep in his arms.

“Alpha Rawiri said that he would send someone to look after him while we come with you to the cave.” I hugged her again.

“I love you so much, thank you for being here. I couldn’t do this without you or Brittney.” I could feel the tears in my eyes and I willed them not to drop. It had been so hard to be away from her, especially with the vision I had been having. They always show her dying. It had gotten to the point where I was convinced that she was already dead.

“Well, what are sisters for?” She chuckled and pulled away.

“We will be ready in half an hour. Just have to pack a few more things.” Tobias said as he walked back into the room.

“All good, hey I wanted to ask. How is Brittney going?”

“She's getting better. I gave her the crystal. She still has nightmares, but they aren’t as bad as they were. They are coming with us today, so the more, the merrier.”

“Good I'm glad she’s doing better.” Suddenly, Oliver starts to fuss and Rachelle excuses herself.

A few hours later, we were all piled into the SUV and headed to Aranui cave. As we pulled up in the parking lot, we all hopped out of the car and looked around. The cave was beautiful. I heard someone whisper behind me and turned around to see who it was. I was shocked when I saw a small blue light. I watched as it floated above us and into the caves entrance, I grabbed hold of my stomach and took in a deep breath. I walked over to Tobias and grabbed hold of his hand. He looked down at me with a small smile and kissed the top of my head. We grabbed the packs from the boot of the car and headed towards the cave entrance. As we got closer, I felt a powerful force trying to push me back like something didn't want us here. I stumbled and lost my balance, almost hitting the ground when I felt big arms wrap around my waist and pick me up. Tobias looked at me and I saw concern in his eyes.

“Love, are you okay?”

“I’m not sure, it felt like something was pushing me away from the cave, like it didn't want us to go in.” I look back at the cave entrance and saw the blue light again. was no one else seeing this? Tobias pulled my chin towards his face and kissed me softly on the lips.

“If you need to stop let me know.” I nodded my head, and he put me back down on the ground, we headed into the cave. It was beautiful, the cave had high ceilings and the rocks were blue and purple. There were glow-worms scattered along the cave ceiling as we continued deeper in. Alpha Rawiri and Luna Tia lead us over to a canoe and we all hopped in. I had to grabbed hold of Tobias again as I felt a powerful surg of power.

Ivy, the Blade is here. I can feel it. Ciara said excitedly.

How do you know that? I can’t feel anything? I asked her skeptically.

It’s a feeling, I don’t know how to describe it. She stopped talking then so she could concentrate on the power.

I didn’t want to get my hopes up until I had the Blade in my hands. We came to an entrance and Alpha Rawiri turned to us.

“This is where we come to pray to our Moon Goddess, this is the most secret place in the caves.” He said, turning his head to show us the entrance to a beautiful cave surrounded in bright green grass and moon flowers scaled around the walls.

This isn't the entrance, we need to go in further. There is an opening to the back of the cave. I can feel that the power is stronger there. She said desperately and I was shocked at how desperate she was.

“Ciara said that we needed to go further in, she cam feel a lot of power coming from the back of the cave” I said, and Lina Tia nodded.

“There is another path that we can look at. No one has gone further than this, so we are not sure what is beyond here.” She said as Alpha Rawiri moved the canoe forward. We followed the caves for a few more minutes until we stopped in front of a cave opening. Alpha Rawiri stopped the boat and looked over at us.

“This is as far as we can go. There is nothing else here. We have come to a dead end.” I looked at him in confusion and pointed to the cave entrance.

“Sorry Alpha Rawiri i don't think i understand, there is an opening right there in front of us.” He looked at me like I had gone mad and I raised my eyebrows at him.

“Luna Ivy, there is nothing there but a rock wall.” I looked back at the entrance and I saw a person standing there smiling at me. I watched as she lifted her hand and waved at me to come forward. I looked over at Tobias and grabbed hold of is hand, hoping that if I touched him he might be able to see what I was seeing.

“Look, there is an entrance, see?” He looked over to where I pointed, but he just shook his head.

“Ivy there is nothing there but a rock wall.” I scowled at him and shook my head. I didn't understand why i was the only one that could see this.

Maybe they can't see it because they do have the powers of the white wolf. Ciara said

But that doesn't make any sense. Luna Tia has some of the White Wolf's powers. She should be able to see this. I said, looking over at Luna Tia, not understanding why only I could see this.

I think only you can enter this space. No one else can see it, which makes me think they only want you to go. I sighed, not wanting to do this alone.

You won't be alone, I will be with you the whole time. Ciara said, puffing out her chest.

I stood up, making the canoe rock as I walked to the edge and lifted my hand to show them that I wasn’t just seeing things. My hand went straight through the wall and I felt a jolt of power run through my hand and up my arm. I pulled it back and heard everyone gasp.

“What the hell was that?” Alpha Rawiri said in shock. No one answered him. I took a deep breath and pushed my head through looking in. I saw the same blue light I had seen before when entered the cave, glowing brighter further in the back of the cave. I gathered my energy and started to float into the air.

“Ivy!” I heard Tobias stand up and rush over to me. He reached his hand out to try and grab me, but I was too high up. I stopped moving and turn my head down and saw panic in his eyes.

“Ivy come back please! I don't think this is a good idea. We have know idea what's in there waiting for you.”

“We will be fine mate. I will protect her. She wants to show us something.” Ciara said pushing forward to reassure Tobias that we would be okey.

“Who love? Who are you talking about?” He asked, trying to grab my hand so I wouldn't move forward.

“We will be fine, nothing will hurt us. We are Helios daughters.” Ciara and my voice come through together as we watched the small girl that was wanting us to follow her. We look back down at Tobias. I could see both Miles and Tobias coming through. I smiled at them and he nodded his head.

“Be safe my little wolf.” They said in a small voice as I turned back to the cave entrance and moved forward.
