The pain is so excruciating. I felt my body contort while trying to deal with it. As soon as the bracelet fell off I was consumed by this burning feeling. I have no choice but to scream. Theo said I would feel pain. He warned me this morning. He also warned me to hide it, but I can not control this much pain. How could he expect me to? This is beyond my control.

Thea, don’t try to do it alone. I am here for you. Let me take over.

I do have a wolf. The moon goddess did hear me.

Hello Cyra. Wouldn’t Kora know if you took over? Theo said she wanted to know how strong I was. You are a part of that. A big part. Plus whatever you are doing to help is working the burning feeling is starting to lessen.

I am not sure if she could tell when I take over nor am I doing anything. I can not help from here but as a distraction. Look around you though.

Cyra did not shock me, but her saying she was not the one taking my pain away did. Who else would help me? I take a deep breath to steady myself. I am still burning up, but I need to see what's going on. I open my eyes and notice I am on my back on the floor. Theo, Hilda, and Luca are all looking down at me from positions on their knees and stationed all around me. Luca has his hand in mine. When I concentrate I can feel a tingling radiate up the arm that Lucas had is touching. I can also feel a cool breeze washing over me as well. Given that Luca is spirit, I assume he is healing me. I just have never felt anything like it before. Theo and Hilda must be sending the cool air to me.

Yes, it seems so. Your family does not like seeing you in pain. I can tell you this much. Theo, Hilda, and Luca are very angry that you are going through this right now.

They have never helped me any other time.

Thea, they have never had a reason to be there. You have never been in this much pain. Maybe they haven’t helped you in the past. They are here for us at the moment we needed them the most though.

“ Why did you bust into my office, Hilda? Luca?”, came from Kora as she stood to her feet and came to stand at my head looking down at all four of us. To me, she says, “ So the bastard got the fire I see.”

Vile woman.

Calm down Cyra, just a few more hours here. Most of which will be spent sleeping.

“ wh- wh – what fire? As In I can control fire magik?”, I ask but look to Theo for an answer. The burning has dried out my throat and made it hard to speak.

“ It would seem to be your affinity-based off it being the first one to show up to you like this.”, he said very softly, “ The fact that it is this forceful just means that it has been trying to get you to use it for a while now. Have you been feeling the burning sensation before the bracelet came off?”

“Yes. Luca, Hilda, Thank you.” They both smile at me and let their magik fade as they look at their mother.

“ We came because we heard Thea scream, mother. We know you think we should not care about her, but we do. We will not see her in pain if we can help it. We are sorry we did not knock. It will not happen again. “ Hilda answered Kora. She then took Luca’s hand and walked back out of the office. At that sight, I started to sit up. Theo assisted me in getting to my feet. I have to admit I am still lightheaded.

“ I will take my leave as well. I still need to finish packing.” I go to walk out the door but Kora stops me.

“Wait. We are not done yet.” She says as she points back to the chairs.

I just turn around and stay where I am. “ What else is there? You got what you wanted Kora. You used me and then got to see what kind of power is in Thea. What now?” Theo asked Kora.

“ Well, Theo. Since you went against everything I told you to do and even went so far as to try and block me. Well, now you can sit your useless ass back down and educate your bastard. If we send an uneducated fire affinity witch to the Academy that can look very bad. I have already put her name in as a recruit so we can not keep her here now either. You are the reason the bastard has fire. So you get to educate her. On second thought. Use the kitchen. Get out of my office I am tired of looking at you two.” As she said that Theo and I were dragged back out the door and into the hallway. Then the door slammed in our faces. Well, glad to see I am not the only one Kora lets her wrath out on.

Oh no. She is a cunt to everyone. Speaking of which. DO NOT tell Theo or anyone about me yet.

Cyra you can't ask me that. I tell Zane everything.

Zane is fine once we are away from this coven. Till we leave though keep it to ourselves. I would suggest waiting till you got to the Academy though. It is safer there.

That I can agree to. Wait how do you know so much about the people in my life. You just came to me.

Oh no, Thea. I have always been here. Wolfs are blessed to the shifter before birth and are usually granted access to communicate with the host around host puberty. I have seen everything you have seen in your life. I know everyone you know. Only I can feel more from people than you can right now.

What do you mean by that?

Well, that damn bracelet held back your magik and me from you. But not from each other. I have had your magik for as long as I can remember. You have to learn how to use it. I will help you. Don’t worry. In the meantime just trust me. We are one. I could never hurt you in any way.

Oh. OK. So no one else can sense you right now? Even though I am talking to you?

We are having a conversation, yes, but really it is just all thoughts. Mind readers could hear us. Which Kora is one, but I put that block up long ago. You couldn’t use magik, but I could. Seeings how I am basically your subconscious while not in control I formed a block so no one can get into our mind in any way. Other than mind readers only our Mate can hear us and only when we allow it can we link with a pack. I will warn you though. Theo does have ¼ wolf in him. It is weak, but you are his pup he may feel it. I am unsure. He does not have a wolf in him, but that does mean he does not have the instincts.

 Whoa. I just now notice that I have somehow got to the kitchen while talking with Cyra. I have no memory of walking in here. Theo has already placed a glass of Ice water in front of me and looks to be making tea.

Calm down. Theo helped lead us in here and you are in shock from the looks of it. Drink the water and the tea and just let him help.

The water feels like heaven as it pours down my throat.  As I am finishing off the water Hilda and Luca come into the kitchen and sit next to me at the bar.  Theo places down four teacups. Then puts a chia tea bag in each.

“ We are each going to drink a cup of tea and then we will go for a walk.”, Theo says as he turns to get the sugar and cream from the other side. “ There is no need for any words right now. We will have plenty of time for that on our walk. Let the tea help soothe Thea and warm us all up beforehand.”

I nod my head and take the cup closest to me and start to play with the teabag.

Hilda just lightly smiles and pushes a cup to Luca before grabbing her own.

I add I spoon of sugar and a small amount of cream before I stir. The spices smell amazing. Once I'm ready I pull the tea bag out and take a sip. It stings just a little at first but then it's a nice and soothing feeling as well. Once finished I get up to place my cup in the sink and everyone else does the same. It makes me feel uneasy, but I will trust Cyra and just see what happens. I don't think I will be getting that sleep tonight after all.
