Eve
The morning came and went. Breakfast, training, library-- in that order. I waited by the garden for Ari to finish bathing Teo so he can be put down for his nap. It was a pretty quiet day. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Some omegas were tending to the growing vegetables and chatting amongst themselves. I smiled, grateful for the gift of life. I had talked to my mate earlier in the morning, but I decided to check in with him again. I wasn't concerned because he could hold his own, without a doubt, but I missed him.
"Hello?" He sounded groggy, like he had been awakened by my call.
"Hey, bae!" I was rather chipper, but I couldn't help the butterflies dancing in my stomach to the sound of his voice.
"My Luna."
"Sorry to wake you. I just wanted to see how the meeting went."
