“It’s silver! Oh my Goddess!” I was checking out my new mark in the bathroom mirror while Ari leaned to get a closer look. She lightly poked it, which tickled. I swatted her hand away and got as close to the mirror as I could. Amitayus had been so gentle and sweet after marking me. It wasn't bad at all. Once the rush from his venom flowing through my veins subsided, a strong feeling of bliss cloaked my body, like a blanket.
“I’m marked.” I smiled, turning to face Ari. She started to grin.
“Have you tried to mindlink him yet?”
I shook my head.
“It’s like the telepathy thing, which I’m surprised you just didn’t use before.”
“That was the furthest thing from my mind. This is all happening too quickly to keep up with.” I went back into the room and sat on the floor.
