NO!  I screamed only to find that i am in a hospital not in hallway

I quickly got up and sit straight trying to process things

My breathing was so rapid . I took a deep breath to calm down myself

Relax Jess it's just a dream don't worry he will be alright.. He will be good by now

I said to myself convincing that he will be fine.

Suddenly the door open only to find Bryce

Standing in the room entrance with food tray on one hand on the another hand with some water struggling not to fall them

I chuckled at his behavior

He shot me glare

What? He asked

I pointed my index finger at him . Looks like someone is struggling with food and water.

I laughed.

Hey! Be grateful that i have brought you food. He said

Well thank you so much by the way how did i end up here i asked him

He placed the tray aside and gave me the bottle of water to drink.

You freaking stupid, i***t monkey, gorilla - I cut him of before he says anything

I shoot him what happened look while drinking my water.

You monkey how long haven't you eat? He asked .

I almost chocked the water

What do you mean? I asked him pretending that i don't understand what he meant

Dont you dare give me that look you i***t . Doctor said about your health

What the hell is even wrong with you? Bryce asked me furiously.

I have known Bryce since Middle school. He always behaves like a brother to me . He even disagree that i got into relationship with Max but later on he agreed that i made a good decision. We used to hang out lot me , Max, Bryce, and most importantly Daniel. But thing's have changed when we finish school  it was so hard for to hangout even after colleg max and every one hangout but I cant most of the time. Priorities did change. But the love,care and respect didn't change for each one. Even though I miss max i am sure he is watching me from above. One day i will be able to be happy from my whole heart. I will be soon .

I thought this to myself

Suddenly Bryce waved his hand to get my attention

Cat got your tongue Miss Miller? Bryce asked her

I stick out my tongue to show nothing have got my tongue

Bryce rolled his eyes which made him look cute

Aww look at the cute boy who is now rolling his eyes at me ? I adoringly said this to Bryce

Only to earn his glare which I do find them cute

I chuckled a little bit

Okay now tell me how are you doing? I asked him

I am good? But why the hell are you look so stressed out.

I raised my eyebrows at him giving my glare

Yeah like hell you don't know the reason i said .

He chuckled a little bit

Dont worry. Daniel is great he just got a shot in arm nothing to worry

When Bryce said this i couldn't be more happier i felt somewhat relaxed.

Umm did you said anything about Daniel and me in school life before i passed out? I asked him

No monkey I didn't you was telling that he took a bullet for you and you are scolding yourself after that you suddenly fainted. Bryce said

I nodded my head

Is everything okay? he asked me

Yeah it is

Can i see him?  I asked him

You can see him just wait let the doctor check your vitals and we can go and see him Bryce said

After a minute doctor came and check the vitals everything is perfect and now i am on my way to see Daniel.

I entered the room .  My eyes only searched him

He was in bed sleeping. He looks peaceful. I sat beside him.

I am sorry Daniel. I am really sorry. I shouldn't have stormed like that. I hope you will forgive me . I said this to myself. On seeing Daniel in this state my heart wrenched so badly I wanted to cry out loud. But no i won't  I should be strong . I took a Deep breath to control my tears.

I turned to see Bryce watching me and Daniel with an awe.

I asked him by quirking an eyebrow but he said nothing.

Did Daniel sister know this? I asked Bryce because she deserves to know after all they both are brother and sister.

She knows she came and saw him don't worry she won't breakdown or neither she won't cry just tough like you Bryce said

When i heard them a small smile came to my face . I nodded my head in agreement.

I sat there for a while thinking what to do next .

How am i gonna save Ma? And who shot Daniel? These 2 questions only roaming in my mind .

Whoever shot Daniel i will deal them later. But first i have to save ma. And for that i have only one option.

Bryce can you come outside for a second?

Bryce nodded in agreement .

What happened J? Bryce asked me concernly

Bryce i am planning to sale my bakery  I said this

Bryce looked shocked because i have been working from High school  to buy that place even though i didn't buy with my full money still my hardwork is lot on that place . By selling the place it means i am selling my hard-work but for now i have to save my mom

I know this might be shocking but this is the only way i can save mom Bryce 

He thought for a while.

And what do you want me to do? Bryce asked

I just want you to accompany tomorrow

Already a real estate owner has been asking that place for a while but i think this might be the time

I explained the terms the real estate said .

The bakery will be there but the owner management will be Changed thankfully the staff jobs will still be the same

I think its a good proposal go for it i will accompany you but what will you do after that?

When Bryce asked this i thought a little bit about what should i do ?

I will go to a job it's all i can do i will look after mom surgery I said to Bryce.

I called The real estate owner and finalize the deal.

I turned around to see the most disgusting man standing there smirking at me . 

Bryce noticed my expression and turned to see Charlie standing on the Daniel room outside arms crossed.

I glare and went upto him with my attitude

What are you doing here?

Aww my love did you miss me come gimme a hug  Charlie shamelessly asked .

I saw Bryce knuckles turning to white. He looks like he can punch him at anytime.

I looked at him and said no

I took a step near to Charlie.

What Charlie you want a hug? Okay well let me give you a lovely hug just like i gave you that day . I wisphered to his ears.

I took a step back and came face to face with him.

I saw fear in his eyes.

I pointed my finger to eyes

You are not you think you are Charlie. You are a coward who fears a lot but acts like a brave one . A brave man will never show any fear .

I guess you are coward because look even your eyes are betraying you

What a poor man! You are Charlie   I smirkingly said

Hey he shouted.

Shhh my poor coward Don't shout this is an hospital. I don't think you want to beaten up here if you want to then i am glad to them

He looks terrified.

Now tell me why did you shoot Daniel. I asked him sternly .

He looks defeated .

Tell me this is  your last chance Charlie . Spill out before i strangle you to the death. I am sure you don't want it

He took a Deep breath.

Jess the one's that you see is not true. I am just a toy your real enemy is outside. I am a ploy to them. I can't reveal who they are but all i can say is i am not the person who you think .  And yours and Daniel life is still in danger until you find who is behind all of this you can't live in peace. Open your eyes see the world there is so many hidden secrets your life is also like that now its high time you have uneveil them. See the real world hereafter only you have to be strong. I was stunned by his statement. I saw honesty in his eyes. But I can't trust him either.
