We will be soon getting married and I will personally be going to invite you for my wedding. Now you may leave. Dan said to Charlie in a strong manner.

Charlie looked between Jess and Dan. He saw how Dan holds Jess hands. Jess was in utter complete shock. She doesn't know what to say. She stayed quiet. But for the first time in a year, she felt safe around a man she felt comfortable while holding his hands. Charlie adjusted his dress and exited the house. Anderson came in front of Jess.

You will regret this. I will never let you be happy. I will destroy happiness. Anderson said this to Jess

Run before I smack you again. Trust me Anderson I will never let anyone take away my happiness. Now get out she yelled at Anderson

Anderson angrily stomped out of the House. Both Jess and Daniel relieved. They both looked at each other.

Thank you, Daniel, she said. She tried to remove the ring but Daniel stopped her.

Don't Remove it. Let it be. Daniel said. When Daniel said this Jess was confused

What do you mean? She asked

I will tell you tomorrow morning by the way what happened to your mother? Dan asked

Jess took a deep breath and told him everything about her mom's condition.

Daniel was thinking for a while. I am sorry he said. No No it's okay. I am sorry for what happened here and thank you for saving me. If you don't mind, can I ask you something? Jess asked him. Daniel nodded to proceed.

What is between you and Charlie? And what are you doing here at this late? Jess asked

Um... Daniel Hesitated for a while. Suddenly Annie came in. When she saw Ann, she looked between them looking confused.

Hi Jess I hope you are good now. Ann hesitantly talked to Jess. Jess smiled at her

I am perfectly fine what are you guys doing here? she asked

Well Dan said that you, Max are friends and I know Max as well so I thought I would visit you before I leave. Ann said to Jess

Oh, so you are the Annie that he used to talk about huh? Jess asked at her smiling.

Hmm and what do you mean by leaving? Jess asked

Well, she is leaving to another city for her studies in 1 to 2 weeks Dan said. His voice was low when he said. Jess understood that Dan didn't want Annie to go. So, she simply nodded

Oh, please both have a seat she said.

No no Jess it's getting late we should leave but for the ring can you please come to my office tomorrow. I Have something important to talk to you. Daniel asked

Hmm okay and once again thank you for saving me Jess said. No no it's alright. Please be safe if Charlie come's again call me. Note down my number Daniel said. They both exchanged their numbers.

Okay I Will go now. Please be safe and don't hesitate to call me at any time Daniel said. Jess nodded Daniel and Ann said Byes and left the house.

Jess locked the door and went to her room without even eating dinner she laydown on bed processing what just happened a few minutes back.

She took a deep breath and convinced herself that everything will be alright soon. Without her knowing she slept

On the other side Charlie and Anderson went back to Charlie's place. Charlie was boring with rage to get revenge on Daniel for what he did. While Anderson was standing feeling guilty for what happened earlier. Charlie's assistants called his doctor. Doctor examined him and told him that there are minor fractures that needs to be take care.

Charlie you will be needing complete rest for week. There are few minor fractures. So please do take care of yourself Doctor said. He prescribed some medicines to him and he left.

When the Doctor left Charlie started shouting, he starts to bang the door.

Boss boss calm down your health is not good his assistant France told him and he tried to stop him. He didn't even hear what he said at the moment his mind is all about thinking how Jess and Daniel beat him. After a while he calmed down when the medication starts to work his assistant took him to his Room.

Anderson was seeing all of this and got angry at Jess. Silently he left the place.

Meanwhile Dan and Ann got back home. Ann went to her room in tired. While Daniel sent a text to Bryce regarding the marriage and he also sent a text to come office tomorrow. He went to his room and sat on bed. He started to think how he and Jess fight. To be more honest he was shocked to see how Jess fights. He got remembered one day ... what Max told him about Jess fighting skills. As long as he can remember Jess is always a bold confident girl who never look back and never fails to protect her from whatever happens. She got this confidence after she got to know about her dad true colors. So, she always prepared for the worst as well. Guess her practicing for self defense has finally helped her after so many years.

He also thought why all of his sudden he put the ring into Jess hand. He sat there for a while and made his decision for what to do next in his life.

The next day .... morning

Jess woke up remembering that she has to meet Daniel in his office she got ready with full confidence and ready to face anything that life is going to throw at her.

She wore a bold blue top with pair of leggings she looked stunning on the dress. She took a deep breath and left the House.

Meanwhile...

Daniel got ready and went to his office but he was nervous today. He had the fear that Jess might say no to his proposal. He was so tensed. He went to his Office right after he enter the building, he didn't even wish anyone.

He went to his room and Sat on the chair clicking his pen and waited for Bryce and Jess to come

After a while Bryce came into his room

Hi Dan? Bryce said. No time for Hi bye Bryce did you finish the work that I asked you to do? Dan asked him Nervously

Chill dude everything is ready it's now On Jess hands. By the way what happened yesterday night? Bryce asked him concern fully

Daniel took a deep breath and explained everything to Bryce.

When Bryce heard all of that he was frozen for what he heard he stand still whether nor to believe or not.

Bryce Dan called him After a while he came to back to his senses. Omg this all happened last night. I can't believe it dude. Jess practically fought with them all. Oh My god he said in shock.

Mean while Jess Arrived to Daniel's office she went up to reception.

Hello Can I Meet Mr. Daniel? she asked

Do you have any appointments ma'am? The receptionist asked her

No, But I am his friend he asked me to come. Can you please call him and inform that I am here? Jess said

Okay and your name ma'am?

Jessica Miller

The receptionist nodded and called Daniel.

Mr. Daniel a woman named Jessica miller is here to see you she said

When he heard Jess Name his heart skipped a beat.

Oh! Okay ask her to come to my office Dan said

Okay Mr. Daniel the receptionist ended the call.

Ma'am sir wants to see you. You may go to his office receptionist said. Jess said thank you and went to see Daniel. She was in cool state. While Daniel is in nervous state.

She entered his Room.

May I come in? A voice came

Bryce said yes. She opened the door and entered. When Daniel saw her, he was mesmerized. Not just how she looks but he was mesmerized how brave and confident she is. She walked into the room head held high.

She went up to him and look face to face. She smiled at Dan.

Good morning Dan she said.

Umm... good morning Dan replied. She turned her head to wish Bryce.

Good morning Bryce How are you doing? She asked Bryce

I am good how have you been? Bryce asked

I am superb and what are you doing here? She asked

Oh! I am also working here as an executive manager Bryce said

That's great she said

Anyways Dan why did you asked me to come here? She asked Dan

Dan hesitated for a second. Then he signaled Bryce to take out the papers That Daniel asked him to bring last night.

He placed the papers on the desk. When he placed the papers, Jess was confused
