The watch of Fate
Stefan Krüger is a successful politician and diplomat, who is recognized by both the European Union and United Nations and won the Nobel Peace Prize 18 times. This story takes place on July 18, 2020, when Stefan was at a charity fundraiser which was held in Berlin since the German government had volunteered to host it. Stefan had decided to fly to Berlin a couple of days early since he lived in Seton Castle in East Lithon, Scotland. He had bought it for 68 million pounds Serling. Stefan was also a wonderful orator and could captivate an audience in less than a minute if he wanted to. During the event, the German president, Karl von Richtten, had made an announcement. He said “I, Karl von Richten, have the pleasure of presenting herr Krüger this watch as a token of appreciation for his eternal and unending generosity to both the United Nations and the European Union by assisting, donating, and selflessly volunteering to multiple charities. ” Everyone clapped as Stefan made his way onto the stage.
As Stefan got close to the center, president Karl von Richtten shook his hand and handed him the watch. Stefan smiled and waved. He then put the watch on his wrist and showed it to the crowd. Just then, Stefan got a strange feeling and he disappeared out of sight. Everyone was surprised. All that was left of Stefan was his black aviator sunglasses. When Stefan woke up he noticed that the world was different. He decided that the smart thing to do was check for any newspapers for a date or any sort of indication as to where or when he was. He found a newspaper which read “KRIEGSENDEN! KAISER KOTLE ERGIBT SICH DEN BRINARDS! GARMENY ENTEHRT!” He looked at the date and saw that the first paragraph read “Garmeny kapitulierte am 6. November 1918 vor der Brinardia. Seit der schändlichen Kapitulation verzichtete der Kaiser von Garmen, Manfred Kotle, auf den Thron von Garmen und ging ins selbst auferlegte Exil in die Bermanischen Alpen.” Stefan thought ’1918! Jesus Christ! In 2 years the Great Depression will happen if I’m guessing the historical timeline right. I will have to put my political knowledge and skills to use if I’m to turn this country away from the Depression.’
