Patrick stared at Loveth and saw her looking away from him, as if she were hurt, instead of bowing her head to greet him. His brows furrowed as he glanced back at his mother.
"Mom, it's nothing," he said, not wanting to inform her about why he was yelling at Kelvin.
"Are you sure, son? You seemed very angry with him. What has Kelvin done?" his mother insisted. Just then, they heard a car honking outside, behind their gate.
