Love Conquers

Sitting in the gardens was my favourite thing to do, the serene beauty of it brought me peace, the roses, our- my tree. Everything felt like home. I had created walls around myself, I didn’t want to let anyone in anymore, it hurt too much when they left and I didn’t have my heart to give to anybody anymore, it was taken from me years ago and thrown away not too soon after. There was only one person that I now cared about left, Princess Victoria aka Tori. My best friend someone who has always been there for me and she has kept her promises to me. Soon she’d be going away, I was suppose to go with her but I didn’t like to think about it, because after I’d leave here, I wouldn’t be able to see these roses, sit under my tree. “What are you doing here?” A voice brought me out f my thoughts. The last person I wanted to see stood there, “I asked you a question, what are you doing here Akira?” He repeated. I stood up and started walking past him, “Nothing Prince, I’m just going to go back to my quarters, have a good night.” A hand clamped down on my wrist pulling me back against a hard body. “You don’t have to leave, I was just asking you- “That’s fine, I was going to go back to my room soon anyways. Prince” I bowed and tried leaving but his hold on me didn’t relent. “Stop” he said in a harsh whisper. My brows furrowed, “Stop what?” I turned to him keeping my eyes downcast, I never looked into his eyes again, never again. “Look at me Ira” he whispered  My body tensed. “My name is Akira, your highness. I think you have me confused with someone else.” His jaw clenched, “Look at me, Akira” I gulped, “It’s getting late, I need to go, I have to wake up early tomorrow morning. I have work to do.” I wrenched my hand out of his hold. I saw his fist clench as he nodded. I wouldn’t become his play toy again, I wouldn’t survive it for the second time. Never again, Prince Victor. Never again.
