Sienna woke the next morning, a smile on her face. She had a great night with Jaden and had a great night of sleep as well. She got ready for a day of softball, waking up her mom so they could head out the door.
The day of softball went really well for Sienna. She had batted over .500 and had made some great catches in the outfield. Her mom stopped at Subway on the way home as they were both starving. They pulled up at home and walked towards the house.
Sienna opened the door to music blaring and hooting and hollering from her brother and his friends in the basement. Their mom was not going to be happy. Melly walked up the steps to the front door and sighed. This is clearly not what she wanted to come home to. Sienna gave her an encouraging smile.
Melly strode towards the basement. “Brody! Music down, upstairs now!”
Sienna took a seat on the couch with her sandwich. She was not going to rush a shower if she could have some entertainment with her meal, plus she was really hungry.
“Hi Mom.” Brody said a grin on his face.
Their mom just shook her head. “How many people are down there?”
“Four,” he said heading in to the kitchen.
“Should I go down and count?” She asked turning towards the stairs to the basement.
“Okay, six.” Brody admitted as he rummaged through the cabinets.
“The girls need to leave in the next thirty minutes.” Mom instructed unwrapping her sandwich.
“An hour?” Brody countered entering dangerous waters.
“Forty-five minutes, out the door. Not saying goodbye. And keep the music down, we have neighbors.”
Brody grinned, gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, then darted back down the stairs.
“How did you know there were girls down there?” Sienna asked from the couch.
“Lingering smell of very fruity perfume on him.” Her mom replied, joining her on the couch. Sienna’s mom was like a detective, she always knew when Brody was hiding something. Brody was also the worst liar in the world.
“Goodness, you are good.” Sienna said, turning the TV onto the crime channel her mom liked.
“Also, it is Brody. There is almost always a girl involved. Or he is working some kind of angle on a girl.” Her mom said smiling. Sienna stretched out her tired, aching muscles and went to get a cup of ice water and make her mom an iced tea. She handed her mom the iced tea. “Ah, my favorite child.”
“Until one of the other kids bring you an iced tea.” Sienna retorted. Her mom was quite fickle about which child was her favorite based on who brought her an iced tea last.
“Are you going to shower now?” Melly asked as Sienna continued to stretch.
“You go first. You look exhausted.” Sienna insisted. Her mom nodded and headed up the stairs. Sienna lounged on the couch while she waited. About fifteen minutes later, she heard quiet footsteps heading up the stairs from the basement. Jaden peeked around the corner
“Hey you. Is she gone?” Jaden asked looking around for her mom.
“She’s showering upstairs. Are you scared of her?” Sienna asked, straightening up. She had not expected to see him tonight and definitely could look and smell better.
“No. I just wanted to talk to you alone. So, did you play softball or just take a roll in the dirt?” he asked, taking in her appearance. The only clean part of her was her hands, which she washed before she ate.
“Both,” she grinned, she was not scared of getting a little dirty for the sake of winning a game.
“I do like a dirty girl.” Jaden smirked, sitting down beside her on the couch.
“Oh lord.” Sienna said, rolling her eyes.
He grinned at her. “How was your day?”
“It was good. I hit the ball well, I saw the ball well, and I got to play in the dirt.” She said. Jaden had grabbed her hand and was running his thumb along the inside of her palm, sending shivers up her arm. “How was your day?”
“Better now that I get to see you.”
“You are so full of it.” Sienna replied, shaking her head.
“My day was average at best and now you are here.” He said, looking sincere.
“I’m happy to see you too. I just wish I was clean and smelled better.” She said, pulling her hand back and trying to smooth out her hair.
“You look great to me.” Jaden replied, his eyes flickering with amusement at her words.
“Sienna, I’m done.” Her mom called down from upstairs. “I’m going to bed, goodnight.”
“Thanks mom. Goodnight!” Sienna hollered back. “On that note, I’m going to go wash all the dirt off.”
“Wait,” Jaden said as she stood up to walk away. He pulled her back down to him on the couch. His lips crashed against hers. She gasped surprised, he took the opportunity to swipe his tongue against hers, she swiped back. He kissed her again. She nipped his lower lip with her teeth before giving him another kiss and pulling away. He held her head close and rested his forehead against hers. “That’s all I have been thinking about since I left last night.”
He looked up into her blue eyes, his chocolate brown eyes heady with lust. She wanted him more than she wanted anything in a long time. Between her thoughts and the look he was giving her, she was nervous. She gave him another quick peck and stood up.
“Okay I really am going to shower now.” She said heading towards the stairs.
“Are you going to come back down tonight?” Jaden asked hopefully.
“I’m not sure. I play at nine in the morning.” She replied. “If not, goodnight Jaden.”
“Night Sienna.” He sighed as she walked up the stairs.
