I hissed when I was awakened by the loud sound of my phone ringing.
I answered the phone without checking who the caller is, "What!?" I shouted.
Damn this person disturbing my sleep.
"Sir!" my secretary beamed, startled by my anger.
"Why did you call me? I'm on break!" I scolded then kicked the comforter away from me. I am pissed!
"Sorry to disturb you, Sir. But there's an emergency." she said nervously, I can noticed in her voice that she's trying to be calm.
"This better be important." I said almost losing my patience.
I sat on the bed then landed my feet on the ground.
"The problem from a certain sub company is increasing, Attorney couldn't handle it because of his hearing." she said slowly.
I massaged my temple, "Call me again after thirty minutes."
I stood then picked the blanket before folding it, I pulled the toiletries inside my bag before walking towards the bathroom.
I removed my shirt, pulled it from the collar then I started to clean my face and body.
I placed the small towel above my head then wrapped the longer one on my waist. I went out and picked a plain shirt and some pants before picking up my wallet and phone.
I was scratching my nape while walking towards the lift. I blinked a couple of times while waiting for the lift to go down. I am still sleepy. I can feel my head throbbing and my nape is hurting too.
I walked past the buffet hall of the hotel, as much as I want to have a breakfast, I can't. I won't be able to eat properly while dealing with a problem.
I answered the phone while walking down from the rock stair. I decided to go out to find a better signal and to refresh.
I tap the answer call button before placing the phone on my ear.
"About the company—" she started.
"Email the reports and problems of that company later, send someone to check on the people, and someone to investigate. Got it?" I cut her sentence of and said it while walking.
"Yes, Sir."
"What else?"
"About the meeting with the boards—"
"Fuck." I hissed when something bumped on me.
My forehead knotted when I saw the familiar kid from yesterday.
"Oh, it's you again!" he lamented cheerfully.
"Mama!" the kid shouted before standing and clinging on to my right leg.
My, my, now's not the right time.
"Hello, Sir? Are you still there?" my secretary asked in a small voice.
"Call me again later." I said before hanging up.
"I'm not your mom. Do I look like a woman in your eyes?" I asked coldly but carefully, not to be rude.
The beaming face of the kid suddenly changed, now he looks so down and sad.
I cussed inside my head when I felt the guilt kicking in my system. What now? Damn.
I sighed to calm myself. I'm not good with kids, what should I do now?
I was about to say sorry when I was cut off by a man.
"River, what are you doing?"
My eyes widen when I heard a familiar deep voice of a man. I looked at that person. He was walking towards me.... no, towards this kid in front of me.
My mouth gaped opened when I saw a good-looking man. He's taller than me, my heights 5'11 so I think he's about 6'3 or 4. He has thick eyebrows, hawk-eye almond shape for his eyes and the color's... a beautiful shade of light brown, pointed nose, bow shape red lips, and has a muscular body. The thing I like about him the most is his strong jaw and the color of his skin, very far with my appearance. I think we're in the same age... lastly, he looks mad.
"But mama!" I was brought back to reality when I heard the kid shouted.
I gasped and took a step back when his cold eyes landed on me, why is he glaring? Did I do something wrong?
"He's not a woman so stop calling him that, and he's not mama." he said hardly without removing his gaze on me.
What, bastard!? I know that already! That looked on his face is so insulting, I am so offended by the way he looks at me, wala pang taong tumingin at tumrato sa akin ng ganoon. He's so rude! Can't he explain it to the kid nicely or say sorry to me first?
He held the kid's hand, "Let's go, River." he said firmly before pulling the kid away from me.
The kid looked back before waving his small hand on me.
My mouth gaped opened when they vanished from my sight, what the hell? So many happenings.
My plans for todays ruined. Damn that rude man!
