I've been staying here for three days now, so far so good.
For this day I'll do island hopping, I already informed Mang Nardo yesterday about my plans for today, he'll wait outside.
I wore my plain white Alexander Wang Sueded Cotton 'T’ and paired it with a Raf Simons patch-detail track shorts. I placed my Tom Ford Ace glasses on the top of my head before spraying my Tom Ford Private Blend Soleil Blanc Eau De Parfum Spray.
I picked my Saint Laurent zip wallet and my phone before storming out of my room. I made sure to lock it before walking towards the elevator.
Mang Nardo waved his hand when he saw me getting down from the rock stair.
My heart started to beat faster than usual again, I admit, I still feel anxious when riding a boat, overcoming your greatest fear isn't that easy but I think I'm doing good.
"Malapit lang po ang islang pupuntahan natin, Sir. Mga walong minuto na byahe lang po." Mang Nardo informed
I nodded, that's good to hear then.
I was busy appreciating the scenery when I was interrupted by the vibration of my phone.
I grimace when I read the text from Floyd, saying, "Send some pics."
I hissed before taking some short clips, I don't know if this man's envious or he just like to bother me. I'll never get the word peace if I am with Floyd. He's just too much.
"Nandito na po tayo, Sir. Hihintayin ko po kayo dito p'wede na po kaying mag-libot." Mang Nardo said then smiled.
I jumped off from his boat then looked around the island. This island is smaller than where I am staying, there's still a lot of tourists though. But unlike here there are no big structures or establishments. Just small stalls, souvenirs, foods and more.
I started to check their goods one by one, I even bought some foods and souvenirs for Attorney, Floyd, my secretary, and the helpers in my mansion.
My brows furrowed when I saw different type of dried fishes, then I suddenly remembered my mom, she'd always asked the oldest maid in our house to buy some dried fishes from the market. I exhaled before picking them up then asked the vendor to pack it.
I strolled a little more, when my hands are full of packages I then, decided to find Mang Nardo.
He was busy talking to his co-fishermen... I think?
He immediately came to my aid when he saw the bags that I am holding.
"Thank you, Mang Nardo." I said before stepping in the boat.
I glanced at my Paul Newman Rolex Daytona to check the time. Oh, it's almost four in the afternoon, I spent two hours roaming huh? Good thing Mang Nardo patiently waited for me. Really, their job requires a lot of patience.
I made myself busy by arranging the goods that bought to forget about my fear about riding small boats.
I felt at eased when I saw the glimpse of the familiar island, we're almost there.
Agad ding kumnot ang noo ko ng matanaw ang mga nagku-kumpulang tao sa harap ng pamilyar na bahay. Agad din iyong napansin ni Mang Nardo.
"Ahh... dumating na siguro si Engineer." saad niya,
"Is he really a very important person to be welcomed by the people of the island?" I suddenly asked, it's too late for me too realized what I've stated.
Mang Nardo laughed, "Parang ganoon na nga, mas lumawak kasi ang turismo rito sa amin dahil sakanya, marami na rin siya naitulong sa mga tao rito."
"I see." I said awkwardly.
"Ah iyong tanong niya ho pala, Sir. Itatanong ko ho kay Engineer mamaya, sasabihin ko rin po agad sainyo kapag nakita ko kayo." dagdag niya.
Ah, right.
Mang Nardo helped me to unload the goods from his boat.
"Lolo!"
I was looking at the goods as I walked away from the seashore when something heavy bumped on to me, 'causing for me to drop some bags that I am holding.
"River! Nako sir pasensya na kayo, malikot kasi talaga ang batang 'to." Mang Nardo immediately helped the kid to stand properly before handing the goods that I dropped on the sand.
So, it's not something but someone. A very healthy kid.
The kid's small, I think two or three years old? he's round, his neck's not that visible, white skin like mine, has chubby and bouncy cheeks and he's not wearing any slippers. But all in all, he is cute.
"It's fine." I spoke.
"Mag-sorry ka." Mang Nardo said before brushing the kid's hair.
"Okay." the kid replied, "Sorry, Mama."
Mang Nardo and I are both shocked from the kid.
What the actual f**k? Do I look like a girl in his eyes? Poor kid he has a very bad eyesight for his age.
"Nako Sir pasensya na, akala siguro babae kayo maganda po kasi ang itsura niyo, kaya napagkamalan kayong babae." Mang Nardo explained nervously.
"Right, it's fine." I said a bit pissed, damn I was insulted twice.
Is that a new way to say that someone's handsome? Do I really lack some muscles? But I'm not that slim? Now I'm conscious, thanks to the kid.
"Dad's here!" the kid shouted in glee.
"Sige po Sir una na kami, ingat po sa pagbalik sa hotel." Mang Nardo said before carrying the kid.
"Thanks, you too." I said without smiling. My moods ruined.
My brows are furrowed for the whole time after that encounter, I was a bit offended.
After taking a bath I decided to stay on the rattan chair outside, the beautiful house on the low land's beaming, guess there's a celebration huh?
After staying outside for a couple of minutes I decided to get inside then sleep.
