Criminal profiler Victoria Archer has joined me to discuss information acquired by Live Cell regarding Kate's background.
We wanted to ascertain as much information about her life as possible to help us understand her abductor's motives. Kate is 34, has been married for almost two years, and gained employment at the Southern Chronicle after graduating from Southampton Institute.
Her life appears normal. There's nothing of any significance that stands out to me; this is purely a case of revenge, a way of silencing Kate and putting an end to her coverage of his crimes. She was leading the press pack, had the inside scoop, which I now regret deeply, because that was down to me.
She could have escaped all of this. It's my fault.
