Chapter Forty-Three – KateSunday 3 January 2015. Morning Day light infiltrates my eyelids; I'm revisiting a state of consciousness. My eyeballs burn from the intense rays; they sting like I've not slept in weeks. Fuzzy images flicker and crowd my mind as my dilated pupils scan the surroundings. Nothing is clear. My head throbs. I scutinise my body and observe my nightie. My skin is pricked with pins and needles, fear kicking in. I remember now; I'm his prisoner. What did the dirty bastard do?
