Chapter 6: Are you using me 🥺

1065 Words
It's been a month since I moved into Lucifer's grand estate, and I must admit, I've been living my best life. He's treated me like royalty, handling me with care and attention as if I were a delicate glass vase. He's always been present, listening intently to my stories, and showering me with affection. I've grown accustomed to his gentle touch and warm embrace, and I can't help but feel a flutter in my chest whenever he's near. I think I might be falling in love with him. This morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. After a rejuvenating shower, I slipped into a stunning pink dress that hugged my curves in all the right places. As I descended the stairs, I spotted Lucifer looking dashing in his formal attire. "Where are you off to?" I asked, my voice laced with sweetness and curiosity. His response was curt, "A party," leaving me feeling slightly miffed, but who was I to question him? My curiosity got the better of me, and I asked, "May I join you, please?" To my delight, he nodded, and I scurried upstairs to fetch my shoes and clutch. I was excited to see where the night would take us, and what wonders this party had in store. I made a stunning entrance at the party, donning a royal blue long dress that showcased my skin and curves, paired with blue high heels that clicked with every step. My light makeup and low ponytail added a touch of elegance to my overall look. As I descended the stairs, I caught Lucifer's gaze fixed on me, his eyes following me throughout the car ride to the party. I felt like a queen, and he was my king, gazing at me with a mixture of admiration and possession. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a diverse crowd of humans and supernatural beings, all mingling and laughing together. Lucifer excused himself, leaving me to mingle and explore the festivities. That's when I spotted Rebecca, who rushed over to give me a warm hug and tearfully exclaimed, "I missed you!" I reciprocated her affection, noticing her radiant glow and remarking, "You look beautiful, and I see you've gained some weight." She beamed with pride, revealing, "I'm pregnant! We're having a baby boy!" We chatted for a while, catching up on each other's lives, until Rebecca's expression turned serious. She leaned in close and whispered urgently, "Vanessa, Lucifer is using you. Believe me, he only wants you for your enchantress powers - you're like gold to him. He'll break you and leave you with nothing." I recoiled, unwilling to entertain such a notion. "Stop lying, I can't believe you'd say that!" I protested, stepping away from her. But Rebecca's words lingered, sowing a seed of doubt in my mind. I tried to shake off the feeling, telling myself Rebecca was just jealous or misinformed. But as I continued to mingle, I couldn't help but notice the way Lucifer watched me, his eyes gleaming with an intensity that made me feel both desired and trapped. Was Rebecca right? Was I just a prize to be won, a tool to be used and discarded? I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the music and laughter, but the doubt lingered, refusing to be silenced. After the party, Lucifer and I returned home, where he prepared breakfast for me. As we sat together, I confronted him about my doubts. "Are you using me?" I asked, my voice laced with uncertainty. He smiled and placed his hand on my thigh, reassuring me, "No, my love, I'm not using you. Who fed you such lies?" I remained silent, and he squeezed my thigh gently before getting up and heading upstairs. The day passed quickly, but my mind was still reeling from the encounter. As I prepared for bed, I heard muffled voices coming from the basement. Curiosity got the better of me, and I crept downstairs, my heart racing. What I saw was horrific - a man and woman, covered in blood, chained and battered. The woman's eyes widened when she saw me, and she sobbed, "Baby, you're alive!" Lucifer's angry voice boomed from behind me, "Get the f**k out!" and I fled, my mind reeling. Since that day, I've been unable to shake off the feeling of unease. Lucifer and I barely spoke, and I avoided him, disgusted by what I had seen. But one day, as I washed dishes, he appeared beside me, his hand on my waist. I tried to push him away, but he held me close, and I broke down in tears. He hugged me, whispering apologies, and handed me a glass of water. When I finally composed myself, I asked, "Who were those people?" He smiled, his eyes glinting, "Your parents." My mind went blank, and I rose from my chair, pacing around the room. "Why my parents?" I demanded, my voice rising. He smiled again, "They're being punished for killing my parents. I didn't harm them; the truth did. I've been taking care of them, and they'll be released next week." His words brought me a measure of peace, and I finally understood the complexity of our situation. . "Are you okay?" he asked, removing his hand from my mouth. I nodded, still trying to process everything. "Yes, I'm okay," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. He smiled and kissed my cheek, a gentle gesture that brought a small smile to my face. I got off his lap and retreated to the library in his study, seeking solace in my favorite book, "Escape." As I read, time flew by, and before I knew it, the sun had set. At dinner, I sat on Lucifer's lap once more, feeling a strange sense of comfort in his embrace. He fed me, his fingers brushing against mine as he brought each bite to my lips. It was an intimate gesture, one that felt both natural and surreal. After dinner, I found myself in his room, snuggled up in his arms as we lay on his bed. It was as if my body had known exactly where to go, seeking the warmth and security of his embrace. As I drifted off to sleep, I felt a sense of peace wash over me, a sense of belonging in this strange and mysterious world.
