Chapter 4: New home 🥳

897 Words
I went to my room, exhausted from the previous day's events. After a refreshing shower, I put on my favorite bum shorts and crop top, feeling confident and beautiful. I tied my hair into a high ponytail and walked downstairs, where my family was having breakfast. Rebecca greeted me with a smile, "Morning, Nessa." I replied, "Morning," and began eating the waffles Savanna Mom had made. But the peaceful atmosphere was shattered when Father gave me a terrifying glare, noticing my scars were gone. "What happened to the scars?" he growled, his anger palpable. Savanna Mom tried to intervene, "Baby, please stop it," but I stood my ground, replying harshly, "None of your business old man." Father's face turned red with rage, and he lunged at me, belt in hand. He pushed me onto the chair and began whipping me mercilessly, until I was covered in blood. I cried out in pain and fear, feeling helpless and trapped. Just then, Lucifer appeared, a smirk on his face. He scooped me up in his arms, bridal-style, and confronted Father. "I see you find solace in hurting what's mine," Lucifer said, his voice dripping with contempt. Father asked, "Who are you?" Lucifer replied, "Oh me," with a smirk, his eyes gleaming with power. Rebecca tried to intervene, but Lucifer warned her, "If you touch me, you'll lose your powers." She stepped back, fear in her eyes. "Please leave my sister, put her down please," she begged, her voice trembling. Lucifer laughed, "You try saving her from me but can't save her from your father." He revealed ominous predictions about the family's future, his words dripping with malice. As I regained consciousness, I found myself in a modern mansion that was both breathtaking and intimidating. The gray and light gray color scheme gave it a somber yet elegant appearance. Lucifer carried me to the dining room and sat me down, and in an instant, my wounds were healed, and I was dressed in new clothes. He squatted down to my level, smiled, and offered me wine, which I declined, opting for water instead. He chuckled and said, "One of the reasons I'm attracted to you" as he headed to the kitchen to fetch me a glass of water and a glass of wine for himself. As he sat on the couch, he gazed at me with a smirk, revealing the terms of my new life. "This is your new home; you can roam freely, and the car outside is yours. The room upstairs on the left is yours, and so is the kitchen. Just remember, when you cook, don't bother making anything for me; I don't eat. Do as you please, and you'll find a card on your nightstand with unlimited funds at your disposal." I couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of liberation I had never experienced before. I had been confined to that house for so long, and now I was free to do as I wished. Lucifer's enigmatic presence and mysterious powers only added to the allure of my new surroundings. I felt both drawn to and intimidated by him, unsure of what the future held but eager to explore this new chapter in my life. As I sipped my water and gazed around the opulent room, I couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead As Lucifer disappeared upstairs, I felt an overwhelming urge to explore my new surroundings. The mansion was a treasure trove of wonders, and I reveled in discovering each new delight. Outside, a stunning garden beckoned, teeming with butterflies and vibrant flora that seemed to dance in the gentle breeze. The garage revealed a sleek black Rolls Royce, its beauty leaving me breathless and wondering what it would be like to cruise through the streets in such luxury. Upstairs, I found my spacious bedroom, already stocked with clothes in my size, which seemed to whisper promises of a new beginning. The bathroom was a haven of luxury, complete with marble countertops, a rainfall showerhead, and plush towels that felt like clouds beneath my fingertips. I couldn't help but feel like royalty as I gazed at my reflection in the mirror. Downstairs, the kitchen was fully stocked with an array of gourmet delights, and I marveled at the abundance of food that seemed to stretch on forever. I wandered into the study, where Lucifer was engrossed in his work on the computer, his fingers flying across the keyboard with a grace and precision that left me mesmerized. "Do you need anything?" he asked, his eyes never leaving the screen, and I felt a shiver run down my spine at the way he seemed to sense my presence without even looking up. "How did you know it was me?" I inquired, and he smiled, "You smell like berries and cupcakes," a peculiar yet endearing response that left me feeling both curious and charmed. "Can I turn on the TV?" I asked, and he nodded, his focus never wavering, as if he were absorbed in a world beyond our own. As I settled into the couch downstairs, I indulged in a movie marathon, feeling a sense of happiness and belonging I had never known before. In this grand mansion, surrounded by opulence and mystery, I had finally found a place to call home, and the thought filled me with a sense of wonder and gratitude.
