My day was so exciting that I forgot about my family and friends, caught up in my own whirlwind of thoughts and feelings. When I went upstairs, I ran into Lucifer, who was heading out somewhere with an air of mystery. "Where are you going?" I asked, but he ignored me and kept walking, leaving me feeling curious and slightly hurt.
I shrugged it off and went to my room, feeling exhausted but also a bit lonely. It was already 8 pm, so I took a quick bath, put on a comfortable shirt and shorts, and snuggled into bed, hoping to escape my thoughts. Despite my fatigue, I couldn't sleep, my mind racing with worries and doubts. The new environment was unsettling, and I felt like a small boat adrift in a stormy sea.
When I finally drifted off, a bad dream jolted me awake in the middle of the night, leaving me feeling frightened and disoriented. I grabbed my pillow and tiptoed to Lucifer's room, my heart pounding in my chest. He lay sleeping peacefully, his chest rising and falling with each breath, and I couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked, even in slumber. I felt a flutter in my chest, a mix of fear and attraction.
Just as I was admiring him, he suddenly spoke up, "What do you want?" I jumped in surprise, my heart racing even faster. "You're awake! How did you know it was me?" I asked, trying to sound brave despite my trembling voice. He smiled, "You smell like berries and cupcakes." I felt a blush rise to my cheeks, and my stomach did a flip.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" I asked, trying to sound casual despite my desperate need for comfort. He sat up straight, his piercing gaze making me feel like he could see right through me. "Why?" he asked, his expression unreadable, but his voice soft and gentle.
I hesitated, my nails digging into my pillow as I struggled to find the words. "I'm scared," I admitted, feeling vulnerable and exposed. "I had a bad dream, and I don't want to be alone." To my surprise, he nodded, his eyes softening with compassion. "Okay, come here." He opened his arms, and I lay down beside him, feeling a sense of relief wash over me as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He closed his eyes, and I felt his chest rise and fall with each breath, his warmth and scent enveloping me like a cozy blanket. In an instant, I fell asleep, feeling safe and protected for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
The next morning, I awoke to find myself enveloped in someone's arms - Lucifer's, to be precise. As I stirred, he rose from bed and headed to the bathroom, allowing me to escape to my own room. After a refreshing bath, I dressed in a sleek black dress that left little to the imagination, paired with light makeup and a ponytail. My morning shoes clicked as I descended the stairs, where Lucifer was busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen. The aroma of sizzling eggs and bacon filled the air, making my stomach growl with hunger.
As I settled onto the kitchen island to observe his culinary skills, he turned to me and said, "Get down." I replied, a bit more sharply, "Why?" His response was calm and measured, "Your clothes are seducing me." I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I quickly complied, my heart racing at the subtle tension between us. I couldn't help but wonder if he was serious or just teasing me. Either way, I wasn't sure how to respond.
I beat a hasty retreat from the kitchen, leaving Lucifer to his cooking and my own thoughts to unravel the mystery of our peculiar relationship. As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. What did the day hold for us? And what did Lucifer mean by his enigmatic comment? I was determined to find out.
"Come eat!" he called, and I ran to the kitchen, taking a seat and beginning my meal. As I ate, I noticed him continuously looking in my direction, seemingly unable to partake in the food himself.
"Why me, Lucifer?" I inquired, to which he responded with a smile before approaching my side and gently holding my shoulders, prompting me to turn the chair and face him.
"I've felt a deep attraction, and I believe you'll make the perfect partner," he stated, causing a flush to rise to my cheeks. I couldn't help but love the way he had of making me blush.
"Go get dressed, my dear," he said. "We have a party to attend." I smiled, appreciating the manner in which he treated me and made me feel truly special.
