Shit, Rowan wanted to curse. But he couldn't move his mouth. In fact, he couldn't move his entire body. There was something laced on Karen's lips. A paralyzing poison. The moment she crashed her lips forcefully to him, the poison spread like a mad virus. He grabbed her shoulders, trying to push her away. But as soon as he tried to exert strength, his muscles turned limp.
In a flash of horror, he saw Karen’s eyes glinted. She planned this!
His body slumped against the bookshelf, but Karen held him up. She put his hand on her chest.
‘What the f*uck are you doing?’ he wanted to roar the words. But there was no sound coming out of his mouth.
